Wow, this is one of the most annoying things I've ever seen. Not only did the creater of the thread write four consecutive, less than once sentance posts, but the idea is poor and should be looked down upon by all. Here's one of my personal favorite ideas for a counter. You see, while an opponent attacks, you do this thing called a 'block' or possibly a 'sidestep' once they stop attacking, keep up with me now, you hit them back! Whoa!! I should be an MK designer, where do I get these ideas?

The idea's not bad. I always wanted Sub Zero's ice clone to block opponents projectiles. It would look great if Scorp's spear was thrown, and Subz does an ice clone - then the spear shatters the clone. Also with anyone fireball, it could stop the projectile, but melts away, instead of breaking. If I think of more character specific ones I'll post em, maybe Kung Lao's hat as a shield??

I personally think the Idea is Great!!! I think it will be great if every character had a different counter for example I wouldn't want Li Mei to have the same counter as Tanya or Ashrah to have the same counter as Kira.

Some of this ideas might be bad or good (don't know)???


Hotaru- can use his flags or whatever they are to protect himself.

Ashrah- can use her hat to send objects back.

Sindel- can send objects back by trapping them in her hair.(don't think this 1 is a good one!?).

Li Mei- can use her "MELONS" to send objects back (JK). LOL

Mileena- can use her veil & throws it when a object comes, however she can only use it once so after she throws it she has to fight without a veil.

Baraka-can trap things on his blades and send them back (don't think this is a good one though)

Bo Rai Cho- can use his bottle to protect himself.

Well some of these I think are not good but I just didn't know what they can use as counter... I'm sorry if they are really DUMB

I wouldn't mind seeing Scorpion throwing the spear at Sub-Zero's ice clone. It reminds me of Anihilation the movie.

That Kung Lao hat thing is an awsome idea!

Say the opponent shoots a projectile at you, Kung Lao takes off his hat and holds it in front of him to block it.

The projectile will ricochet off the hat and get launched right back at the opponent!

I also have an idea for Jax's counter attack. If the opponent gets up close and hits you with a combo of pucnches, hold block and as soon as the opponent finishes his attack Jax grabs the opponent and puts a powerslam on the opponent.

Hey, I also think this idea is pretty awsome. I think some good ones would be like if you did a specific throw right when scorpians spear hit you, you could like grab it and throw it back. This obviously wouldnt make him come to you but it could do like a little damage or something. Also Id be kewl if you were Jax and like to counter projectiles you could put your steel arms out and kinda absord the projectile and like throw id down after.(like MK Anhilation(sp)against Cyrax) Wat do ya think?

lol, programmers are not gods, they can't make each special move for every character counter the other moves. for one it would take tonnes of programming and would force the team to make alot of different animations. maybe if each character had a unique and special blocking animation, like if jax held out his metal arms to block things, oy if kung lao held out his hat. in conclusion i think this is merely an imaginative thought and most likely won't be seen until mk7 or 8. good thought though.

Yeha, I know its probobly not possible to do everything the fans want in every game. But if they did implement this counter system even somewhat, I think it would make a much better game IMO. Any opinions?

BUT, what would be cool as hell would be if sub zero throws an ice clone, and scorpion spears it and he says get over here and the ice clone goes to scorpion and scorpion gets frozen. or sub throws ice clone and kenshi telekinsis slams the ice clone LOL.

the scorpion thing spearing an ice clone right into him causing him to freeze is badass.
