You are all are great players but I noticed that all of you are not using qr, bdc, otg...... all of this will take your game to the next level.

Quick recovery, back dash cancelling, and what is otg?

GGS last night MK-DA and Gala.

Manos, I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I liked our matches, as I am practising Dairou and Darrius. I could tell that it wasn't your best night, but my fingers were cold as well! (but I would've lost anyhow) You were right, my Darrius needs to move more quickly. I took you advice, so that Gala had some trouble with him when you left.

Very good matches with you too Gala. You have an amazing good sense for spacing and damn, you got that QR (secret jutsu)down pretty well. Could hardly land any free throw!
You know what I like about you two? you don't moan when I use Darrius or Dairou, because you don't need to! You are so skilled that you beat them anyway. (Hope I gave you at least I gave you some competition).
And, unlike Tgrant, who was pissed off when I left after I beat his N/S with Kabal, you guys can stand a loss. It's not that I left after I got ahead or something, it was 3-1 for him, and I had to leave, but apparently he didn't believe me. To bad, I always thought of him as a good sportsman

ohh, I forgot to mention M-A-I,
He has a record of 745-47 or something. When you challenge him, he tends to go to liu kang at the char. select screen,,, and then do nothing. He just waits for many minutes. First time I though he may have fallen asleep or something, so I selected multiple char. one after another and when I hit Jade, he indeed selected Liu. He won that match (cause I suck with her) and he didn't give me a
rematch. After a few minutes he challenged me, and did the same thing at the char. select screen. I went to the toilet and made some tea, and eventually he selected Liu, while I picked Kabal. He was no match and he didn't want a rematch.
So that's another way of boosting your rank: just wait till your opponent gives up at the char. select screen. LOL

Quick Recovery is to stand up quickly (no rolling) anytime you land on your back (uppercuts etc......), it's done by d/b or d/f right as you land.

BDC is to cancel the recovery time of some moves after they are blocked by doing back dash after they are done, for example:

Tanya's second style 3,2 if blocked will be not safe, but, if I'll do back dash after it's blocked it will be safe.

Some characters have OTG's:

After planting on the ground go for another pop up, for example:

Ashrah -

Any pop up, Ba Gua 1,3,f+3 (this will plant), walk up, u+4 and it will connect.

Maybe Ty can explain OTG's better.......

Thanks HJS, and you are right, we gotta use those techniques if we want to get better! Another thing I will try is learning combo-interruptions.

After Scorpions Juggle combo, ending on a style-change-sword move,
you can do a Hellfire. Is this avoidable, or can't you get away because of the plant?

Excuse you? You slipped into what a good majority of the noobs do right there. Get a quick win and leave. That is what I interpreted from what you did, but since you say otherwise that's fine. I never implied or said at any point I didn't believe you had to leave. If you really think the loss bothered me, then think again. I said just a few days ago that losses happen. No one is is unbeatable. It was a dead issue and forgotten anyway.

I think the hellfire after that is unavoidable but you should ask Galactic if you wanna be 100% sure.

What's up TG? you cant quit playing all of us, which would include myself. I have had some very entertaining battles with you, even though you whoop my ass. (and will again during the xbox tourney) But i still come back for more and play you when your on.

When i said comments about free throws, it was in a joking manner and i know the game is broken beyond belief, yet i still play it as i'm a fan of MK.
Its does not bother me, yet if you quit playing us, i'm gonna miss the competition of playing a highly skilled player such as yourself.

My copy of the game is already gone. I won't be getting it back again. If you play on XBox, you may see me around. Rarely though. But then we have this tournament to finish, so it'll be after that I disappear from there too.

Delprev when I played you I didnt knrw shit about this new QR thing maybe I did it accidently I dont know I think you mean counter throwing thats looks like this new QR shit but it isnt ; its just a simple throw counter you dont avoid any free throws.

Well the day has finally come and I am retiring from MKD!

To all my fellow DA clan mates - thanks for everything, but this is goodbye. i simply haven't got the time to dedicate to this game any more and that is showing in my fighting skills nowadays. It's a crap game anyway, but being a fan of MK I stuck with it. Maybe we set up a clan too late in the life of MKD but hopefully we can continue DA in the next instalment?!

He resembles JTF more and more with every angry post he makes (under countless pseudonyms.... hmmmm, sound familiar anyone???) Anyway JTF - what can I say that no-one else has ever said about you before... in a word - PATHETIC!



I think that's it really, it's been fun and exciting and it's also been infuriating, frustrating and annoying at times. C'est la vie. I'll still be haunting these boards from time to time and who knows, you might even catch me online occassionally. Hope to catch y'all soon, bring on MK7 (only please Midway DON'T FUCK THIS ONE UP!
