In MKDA one assumed that he was the bodyguard of Shang Tsung (that was history whom they had thought for Dairou).

Hotaru --> Good
Dairou --> Bad.

I felt the same way the first time I saw him. He looks too plain.

yes i thought Dairou looks plain too. Though i like that belmoth guy( i think that is his name) He looked like a shamen,indian guy. I also wish they will add the belokk guy, who never made mk gold. Man is he sweet! Anyway i think dairou is good by the way he looks in the krypt of da

Well, you aint missing much IMO.

He just looks too simple, too plain. Others like BELLOK are a whole lot nicer then the samurai man.

He's evil I bet, plus I know Boon will revamp him for this game. He'll be ok if not better.

i just thought i maybe seen that in the krypt under his crap, i know he doesnt work for the DK cause they were gonna put his ass in MKDA but didnt have enough time and also DK wasnt in MKDA just yet. if someone works for the DK it will most likely be hotoru instead

I believe I read somewhere that dairou is hotaru's pupil.

I want Both Samurais (Dairou and Hotaru) to be enormous enemies...good verses evil.

I think Dairou should be either Neutral or Unknown.

I have a great feeling that the person he has a score to settle with is Hotaru.

I don't know if u guys remember, Dairou was (this was for MKDA though...) a renengade samuri - too bloodthirsty to live by their strict code of honour. So he was free roaming until Shang Tsung asked him to be the guardian of his palace in Outworld. If he keeps that story, I'd say he's on the bad side...and that's perfect for me - cus I already like his look and making him bad would be the icing on the cake. To those of u who said he is too plain, well IMO it works to his advantage. He is plain, simple and deadly. And who says he wont have a traditional samuri outfit as an alt.

i think dairou and hotaru tie in with the comics in the interview they said that hotaru is the protector of order (orderrealm) so maybe dairou is the creator of chaos working for the god of chaosrealm zaggot (check that comic thread it makes alot of sense out of things) i just think this don't get crazy all

I would never doubt a samurai. He could be a good character. He did seem a little dull in MK:DA in those sketches.
I think he is EVIL. Working for the DK.

I really hope he's still Shang Tsung's bodygaurd that would mean he isn't dead.

I agree with this Dark_Noob...and it would fit if he's really a merc. Mercs tend to not have loyalty to anyone they do what they get paid to do no matter who the boss is...So I think He'll be neutral as Mercs are generally loyal to no one, save the person paying for a job, and when the job ends so does the loyalty. IMO anyway.
