No, they'll just be carried over from DA. Moves, fatalities, and all. I doubt they'll work on them. That's pointless, especially since they're not part of the main plot.


Sektor and Sareena (at least Sektor) are 95% likely to already be playable. You can clearly see Sektor (perhaps Cyrax's) mugshot on the select screen. Sareena also has a very high change to be in.

They should at least work on giving Blaze and Mokap one fatality. Heres hoping. id be happy to see all of them return as they were in MK:DA, but Id prefer they gave them a few touch ups.

I think Scorpion has a different sword and one new fighting style. They'll definately have 2 fatalities, and probably WONT have the same one they had in MKDA (please, please dont have the same ones , only Cyrax's and Kenshi's were any good) And I realy think Blaze will be in MKD as a proper fighter, with a full story - and original moves.

If they are in the game, I doubt anything new will be added. They will just be there for fans to be happy. Maybe they might not even have fatalities! And no story.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this - I was a card-carrying Mavado hater in the days of DA. But I hope he comes back in Deception. Story-wise, with Kira and Kabal in the picture, plus with the Red Dragon Temple as one of the arenas, I think there's a good probability he'll be back. But I sincerely hope he gets a special move and fatality upgrade. There are only so many things you can do with bungee cords as weapons...

I'm hoping That Some Of The characters get serious. Jax was a bafoon screaming things like "that's what you get" when he threw you. also Bo Rai Cho's bowel movements while fighting were kinda immmature. With proper stories Mavado and Li Mei have a lot of potential. I hope their in it just so i can see them get rocked. Especially Mavado, he's a cool character but now that kabal is back, who needs him.

As for the ones in MKD, they might have some tweaks. Scorpion already has some changes like his sword, moves and one fighting style. Kenshi will at least have some new moves since every fighter was said to have around 6 moves.

So whoever comes in from MKDA should have at least 2 or 3 new moves and maybe some tweaks. Cause I highly doubt all the secret characters are going to be mostly MKDA characters. That would be just cheap and pointless.

Plus they should have 1 new fatality at least, considering everyone in this game has 2 while they only had 1 in MKDA.

I totally agree with you. But the MK Team should add all of the MK:DA characters just because they're finished with them and all they would have to do is tweak a couple of the fighting styles, add a couple special moves, a fatality, one more alternate costume and a hari-kiri. Doesnt sound too hard to me and I believe the MK Team would be able to do this. But they should also have some other hidden characters and not make all of the hidden characters from MK:DA.

I think the rumors a bunch of shit. I doubt they'll bring em all maybe a few. That rumor is as bad as the Chimera sub boss rumor. lol. I see like mavado nitara cyrax and maybe quan chi showing thats it lol being that we saw nitara in raidens ending in the cloud by the dk so i bet she appears and mavado being that we need some red dragon in the game lol.

Come on people. Are we really so foolish to think that every character will be returning as playable for Deception ?

Do you really see Hsu Hao returning ever? Hsu Hao makes stryker and reiko look awesome.

Well be lucky if we get Frost, Kitana and Kung Lao.

I still don't understand the concept of having unfinished characters from MKDA be in MKD with only 1 fatality and same (only) moves and no ending; Hell if they need ideas for moves and fatalities then they need to hire someone like me to help em out in that category (there's thousands of ideas), same goes for the storylines, same goes for game's space (look at Marvel vs. Capcom, and all the other 3-D fighting games), same goes for Shang Tsung's morphing ability; if they don't finish the characters in a MKD way then they need an upgraded version (would be good for PS3, PSP, and X-Box 2)

There are some Deadly Alliance/Tournament Edition characters who have very good chances of making it in to Deception. Here are the ones that I think have the best chance:

Sektor: IMO, he has the best chance. His story is too good to pass up, and according to several people, he'll be in the game.

Sareena: Again, a few people have said that Sareena will be in. Again, her story needs to be expanded and she could tie in with Sub Zero (he offered her sanctuary, so maybe she betrayed him) and Ashrah (maybe Ashrah is hunting Sareena, as Sareena is a demon from the Netherealm.

Quan Chi: He's a very popular villain, and he is still needed to tie in with Scorpion's storyline. Maybe Scorpion will finally kill him this time.

Mavado: There's an entire stage dedicated to the Red Dragon, but so far, there's been no confirmation of a Red Dragon character. Mavado ties in with Sub Zero and Kira, and maybe Sektor if the Red Dragon and Tekunin join forces to eradicate the Lin Kuei.

Nitara: Again, her storyline needs expanding. Either her or another Vampire will probably make it into Deception.

Cyrax: He has unfinished business with Nitara: I believe that she tricked him and teleported him not back to Earthrealm, but to somewhere else in Outworld, or maybe even her home realm after she smashed the orb.

Frost: Once again, we know so little about her. Is she in fact Sub Zero's sister? Why did she want the Dragon Medallion? Did Sub Zero forgive her? Has Frost gone over to another side? Smoke's story could also tie in with her.

Blaze: There's a 50/50 chance that Blaze might come back. After all, we need to know: what was his 'quest' that he set out on after being freed from serving the Dragon Egg. His design was good and with a bit of expanding, he could really turn into an amazing character.

Others (Kung Lao, Sonya, Johnny Cage and Kitana) have worse chances, but could still come in. However, I think Kano, Shang Tsung and Hsu Hao are dead, and that Mokap and Drahmin won't make it in either. After all, not all the secret characters can be from Deadly Alliance/Tournament Edition, or there'd be no room for new guys or people like Rain.
