Deception ARRIVES on OCT. 5th for ME, anyone else?

I went by EB Games today and paid mine off. The guy there told me that the game ships on Oct. 4th and they should have them early morning on the 5th.
I bought ESPN NBA 2K5 too. It is due in on Oct. 6th. The guy told me I should just wait and come in on the 6th to pick them both up. I told him he could politely go jump off a cliff. I'm not about to wait one minute later than I have to!

That's exactly what I did... with NBA 2k5. Go Spurs Go!
Peace.

I went Sunday to GameStop and pre-ordered Deception(Collector's edition btw, yeeeah! lol), and the guy told me the 5th. So I dunno.
I guess it's the 5th for me.
However, let me add, that in 2002 when DA was coming out, I also pre-ordered it from GameStop and I got it 2 days earlier then they told me when I pre-ordered. It came out on a Monday(i think), but they called me Saturday afternoon and told me the game was in. I almost shit myself. So, then again, I may get it before the 5th. Hell, I might get it the 3rd.

The shipping date and the release date for MKD is mess up. First I thought it was Oct. 4 when I preorder it 4 month ago and now at my local Ebgame store show it be on Oct. 5. I think I can get it on Oct. 4 since I been through the shipping date and the release date situtation before. I remember when Soul Calibur 2 came out and I went to go buy it but then at Ebgame store they said did preorder it and I no but then they said you in luck we have an extra copy of Soul Calibur 2, so they sold it to me and I got mine copy a day early. Then there was the ESPN NFL 2K5 situtation where I went to go buy it on the release date and Ebgame store said did you preorder it and I say no, the clerk said he can't sale it to me until tommorow because I didn't have a preorder. Maybe I get lucky and get a copy of MKD early since I preorder mine.
| Gillbob316 Wrote: On that note, has anyone seen the Target coupons for $10 off that read, "In Stores Oct. 6" There was a thread about it on this board somewhere. I think its just a store by store basis of how lazy they are or aren't. If the higher ups at Gamestop feel they need an extra day, then they all have one. Target feels they need two. Stores often have items on release date, but because of the time it takes to pricetag/shelve them, they don't necissarily sell them on that date. I used to have a friend who worked at gamestop, and he was always telling me about how they'd get the games a day or two before they were allowed to sell them, so I doubt ship date and release date would have anything to do with each other. And since Gamestop is one of those stores that demos new games, and since they allow employees to rent the games out overnight, he'd often bring games home a day or two before they came out, which supported this theory. So, though your local stores say that their release date is sometime after the 4th, If you haven't yet preordered, I'd advise you to look elsewhere on the 4th. Toys 'R' Us is usually pretty reliable for me. Often they'll freshly open up a case to start selling to people the 1st day. If you have pre-ordered, I'd advise you to at the very least stop in and ask Gamestop on the 4th. I can't say it will get you anywhere, but I will tell you this: There is a 99% chance that they do in fact have MKD in stock in the back, despite what they tell you, and who knows, you may get lucky. PS. Crap like this is why I personally never buy new at gamestop or ebgames. Large chains are far more reliable in these situations then Small Specialty stores. Small stores play by their own rules. Large stores play by the public's rules. When you say Mortal Kombat at Wal-Mart, 99 of 100 clerks may not know what the hell you're talking about, but they are there to please you, and they can always radio one who does, and you'll eventually get your game. At a small store, all 5 clerks will know what your talking about, but they may not be able to sell it to you yet, in which case they'll lie and tell you they don't have it to get you to go away. (And I worked at Kay Bee, A small specialty toy store. I know 1st hand that this is true. I have lied to many in my day.) |
do u know how i can get the $10 coupon for target ?!?!?!?!?
