I like the name Ben. Insted of him being called some name like Gacko or Blood Face, he has an original name. Everybody can't have an MK like name, IMO. I like how Midway are doing things nowadays.

Wth my name is Ben what is so damn wrong with Ben. Lol my name obviously isnt Ben, anyways i dont think Ben is a good name for Mk like everyone else said. It doesnt have the Mk fit like Sindel, Mileena, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, and then Ben??? It just doesnt go, its kinda funny

What if Ben is short for something? Like Benjikutso or some crazy Benbenben? Or what if it's an acronym? Like Big-Evil-Nutcase?

Seeing as I despise the newer ninjas, and the better part of the MK3 characters, I'd say I'm more excited about Ben than most of the characters in MKD. IMO, being a 'generic' human could ironically enough be what separates him from the rest of the cast - he's not an outerworldy sorceror, demon, or a ghost, and that makes him easier to identify with. Of course it's way too early to pass judgement on him, seeing as his name is pretty much all we know, and even that is subject to change! I'm very much looking forward to seeing his design though. If it's good, I might very well end up really liking him.

at first Ben sounded too simple and too much like Ken... but i think if they can give him unique moves and looks, outfits nobody will have a problem with him..
can you just imagine him doing the ken moves, aduken, shoryuken (however u spell them) and the spinning kick :) hhahaaha (I REALLY WOULD GET PISSED OFF IF SUCH THING HAPPENED)
u never know, puzzle kombat looks just like super puzzle fighter, so then youll see the mortal kombat title going down and coming to an end :-/ all the street fighter fans will tease us saying that mk copied them! lol

For some reason I think Ben is Nimbus(the rumored Kick Boxer in MK1).I just have a strange feeling about it.

We need to find out his last name. That could be a really big factor. Kurtis Stryker and Johnny Cage are a lot better than just Kurtis and John. He could have a really serious last name and be called by that(like Stryker) or be called by his full name(like Cage).

I agree it's either an acronym or Short for something like Benjuko and for acronym Because em new lol. I think Benjuko would be a cool name better the naga nani fish gib lol

Ben could be just a code name till thay actually give him a name. Here are my thoughts:

Maybe it is an old wise man (could be a monk) that is some kind of "Master".

They don't have a name, but hava a good character they are using as inspiration to follow: Ben "Obi-wan" Kenobi

If there is a Ben and this is final I could only see him as a mortal. If he's not a new mortal than it's kinda dumb..

It depends on how he's portrayed. I can live with simple names as long as they go well with the character.

And about the last name deal.. that could be very true that his last name would be revealed in his story..

Alot of people say he might be a spin off from cage.I guess cause he is a martial champion.Well my man Cage was a martial arts superstar.Big difference.I dont want Cage cloned or replaced.
So may be he could be a spin from Jaxs personna.Maybe like The Shogun from Harlem kinda guy.That would be different.
But I guess we will find out a E3 I hope.
