Deception not a TRUE sequel?!

It'z been said before, but, I'll say it again. The developerz mentioned that the next MK would not necessarily be a true sequel. Deception seemz to be bringin' back the oldskool playerz of the game. Otherz have said that it may be a bridging gap between 2 & 3, instead of a sequel to DA.

- OLDSKOOL list of playerz
- dark lookin' feel
- music soundz in trailer from MK2(when blood splatz on Dragon Logo)
- MK2 type of attract mode on website
- Subzero without scar
I'm really believing that this isn't the TRUE follow up to MK:DA.
wut do U guyz think?

i wouldent mind if it wasnt a sequel to DA, i dont really care for the Dragon King story all that much. But if it is ill still be glad with that.wow

it really dosent matter to but i think its a sequel to DA not really sure y i do though confused

you know what, you have a good ass point, this might be right before MKDA?, ya know, i mean all these old caracters so far, ermac,noob,mileena,baraka,maybe nightwolf, hopefully kabal and rain lol, but seriously, i would rather see a follow up to MKDA, and not go backwards, but i think they might do this, to answer alot of questions about unfinished storys and buisness, like reiko, and others, so people could understand MKDA and deception to come....

It sounds possible, but I don't know. Maybe the title "Deception" has something to do with it... in case nobody likes the storyline, they have a way out?

Kringe, you would have a good point if you stopped using z in place of s. furious ..... grin

Good observation regarding Sub's scar, but I hope MKD continues from MKDA. A game between games doesn't tickle my fancy.

maybe well get to games this year, this and mk6

i noticed ign release dates for the xbox has
mk: deception for october and mk6 for tba 2004 any1 else notice this?

If they go back a little, which I am all 4, they give us the opportunity to handle the oldskool, in the newskool fight engine. kick@$$
- some peepz really liked Mavado with the hookswordz. - BUT Kabal owned them bxthcez first. I would love to play as Kabal in the new fighting formula. The possibilitiez!

- wouldn't it seem a TRUE squel would be titled MK:DK.
Someone said maybe it takes place right before MK:DA. I'm gonna be a dork 4 a sec. - These 3 games in alphabetical order would have Deception right before MK:DA - MK:DK after MK:DA ..ahh nevermind. doesn't hurt though (:3P

that.. really bring up an interesting thought... whould you guys like it if.. well they bring back the classic chars looks to the new ppl.. for instance.. you know malvaldo.. but his alt could be kabal.. mabe they will use the r buttons and l buttons to determan the alt for eather r=malvaldo l=kabal.. what u think..

No offence or anything, but i'll be very upset if this isnt a sequal to Mortal Kombat deadly alliance. I mean, theres pretty much going to be new characters, and subzero doesnt have that awesome look for nothing. Plus, ermac is back now, and we learned that kenshi freed him before. Therefore, this should be a sequal......hopefully.

would satisfy some - would give the illusion of more killerz, but you'd still only have 1 moveset. Ultimately - just the 1 character

-Human Reptile

But the Tekunin and Red Dragon need to come back!

sub zero did evolve into what would appear to be a more advanced look. so i think it might be after DA or maybe something that happened at the same timeline as DA... dealing with other characters, which did not appear in DA and some overlapping people like of course, Subby!

I think so to or that might be a different sub-zero you know the one from mk2 before the one that came in with the scar around mk3. but the way I feel is that I think the mk team should just really stick to one story line instead of giving random stories that hold no connection to each other if you know what I mean but at least we will still have the game play with all those fresh characters.

I dont give a fuck on story in a mortal kombat game to be honest. if the story is bad but the characters good I am happy.

It doesn't really matter to me. I liked DA and this appears to be shaping up to be and improved version of DA with some of the goodies that we're left out last time around. No matter how good the game is, there will be those who complain about how it could have been better.

I am all about that - good hardcore gameplay iz what makes it for me. Storyline makes it that much fresher though.

If it is a prequel, that means that Liu Kang has to be back too. So why would they kill him in one game, just to bring him back the next (Cage deja-vu). I think it will be a normal sequel...
Sub-zero's scar might mean that this is (again) classic Sub-zero...
Or Frost after a sex-change ;)
