At this point, MK:D not being a true sequel to DA would explain a lot of things.

I don't mind though...didn't like many of the characters' storylines anyway.

Oh yess I've been telling this from the very beggining.. Notice the lack of characters (so far) from MK:DA, there's really no connection between the Sub-Zero from MK:DA and this new Sub-Zero. I say, this is a "prequel" or a side story, but definately this is NOT a sequel of MK:DA and the Dragon King story

I really wanted to see the dragon king it would have been nice to see a fresh new boss in mk.isntead of the other two. and this should mean goro is back too.

Sub's missing scar doesn't mean anything...he didn't have it in the concept art of MKDA either, and we didn't actually see it in there until later.

that game wasn't a sequel but was the next game after mkda

I agree with you as well. I only said that comment about Liu Kang because everyone in here was getting all excited that people like Goro could be back assuming this wasn't a sequel. I was just trying to play devil's advocate by throwing Liu Kang in there as a wake up call. I doubt they would have spent all that time building up the new storyline for DA and then go back in time. i agree with you Mr. Satan.

the only problem with this is that Subbie is leader of Lin Kuei (judging from his attire) and the new chracter has the amulet. sorry to burst your bubble peeps but its a sequel...not a prequel.

Yeah it has to be a sequal. If the dragon king is in it, and subzero looks completely different, and if ermac is back (not to mention noob), then it is definately a sequal. Its kinda of impossible to be a prequal knowing who the boss will be already.

Hey, Everyone look. Sub-Zero has got the Dragon Medallion which advanced his ice powers causing his body to appearently start freezing over. As you can tell with his arms being half-way covered in ice in MK:DA. And am i the only one who notices that Sub-Zero's skin isn't a "skin tone" in the pictures of him, But rather a baby-blue color like his arms were in MK:DA? I think that's proof enough that this is a sequel.
