I was looking around for prices on the Deception strategy guide, and Barnes and Noble says it will arrive on August 28th. Sooo I did more digging, and Wal Mart says they will have it on or before August 31st. Can this be true? I hope not. I will be so tempted to buy it, and I know it will ruin the game for me. Is this a misprint, or is it true? Anyone have any info on the guides release date? You can view the Barnes and Noble Deception Strategy Guide webpage by clicking HERE

Yeah Amazon says August too. EB says October, and Gamestop says end of Sept., so I either there are typos on a bunch of these big sites, or someone didn't get the memo.

Well I happen to know that Barnes and Noble get video game magazines before EB and gamestop, maybe they get their strat guides early too.

Will the strategy guide have all the secret and locked characters in it as well? If that is the case, then we will have all the characters before the game even comes out. I'm not so sure I would even want that. How about you guys?

Well supposedly Midway had told Brady to keep certain things secret. So my guess is that the "super secret" characters won't be included, as well as specific secrets in Konquest. If I'm wrong then, oh well, doesn't bother me. The more info the better wink

Yeah, but would you want ALL the info immediately released and then you have nothing to look forward to? What do you think was the biggest reply value to MK2? It was the thought that there were more things to be discovered. I for one don't want everything released right away in the Guide book. I would like to read the BIO's on the already confirmed characters and thats all. Thats just me though. I hope you are right though and they do keep some things secret.

LOL, I know, thats my problem also, I have no will power. But I am going to try hard to not buy it and spoil everything. Only time will tell....

I would look foward to playing Konquest the mini games just unlocking the characters to play with them and playing against other people. I don't mind knowing the secrets.

Same here.

I hope that not everything is spoiled at once, I think if it is released in August, then it is WAY too soon to be spilling all the secrets. I'm thinking there will be a Version 2, a couple of months later that will reveal all the secrets. I think that would be better suited for this situation. I mean either way I'm happy with whatever we get, always have been, but for those of you who don't want to be spoiled that soon, I think it's a good choice. Lol I wish I had my will power back too.

This folks is how rumors are started.

Anyways secrets only hold replay value for so long. The only way this game will have true replay value is if the gameplay counts, in the end, spoiling secrets will mean nothing.
