reiko was cool and he was basically a generic ninja without a mask and diferent arm gaurds but he was awesome to play with

is it just me or was every new charactor from mk4 just put in for the sake of having new charactors

tanya= jade (jade used boomerangs alot)
jarek= kano duh
shinnok= shang tsung (playwise)
reiko= noob (reiko replaced noob)

kai and quan chi were completely original

reiko will be in konquest but it is a long shot for him to be a secret charactor or a regular charactor because the mk team hated him so much

i want reiko to return but it is not gonna happen

Nope, I hated him. He was very very stupid. And that whole Kahn/Reiko thing ruined him even more. So no, I would not welcome him back and I did not like him.

That's cool, I personally like characters based on how they either look or play or on their moveset. That's why I liked Reiko because he looked cool and had sweet moves and fatalities.

Reiko was brutal as a character. I never got a chance to by MK4 but my friend had it so I did get a chance to play as Reiko. The only thing I didn't like about him was his look. HIs story wasn't to inspiring either. If he does comeback he should have a really dark purpose this time. And not be Khan's lackey.

I remember them saying that although they weren't one and the same, there was a connection between the two. Here's what I've long thought it was:

Reiko was a 'stand-in' Kahn. He was one of Kahn's most trusted generals, but Kahn also had a second use for him. When Kahn had to attend gatherings with unfamiliar individuals, where there was a possibility that he might come under fire, he would don Reiko in his garb, and send him to attend the meeting or whatever in his place. No one would ever know the difference. Reiko knew he was assassin bait, but remained loyal nonetheless. In the event of Kahn's death, however, he would try to usurp the throne for his own aims.

I came up with that idea after reading a Star Wars novel, where Jabba the Hutt had a guy that did the same thing. His associates would be none the wiser.

i hope he isnt in mk:d as a playable character :S

MK4 is the MK game that I've played the least. IS he the guy w/ the black mask? What were his moves/fatalities/story?

I liked Reiko, but I don't think he should be in another MK game unless they come up with something interesting for him. Same with Stryker and other oneshots.

I agree. But I'd like to see a better storyline for all of the characters. And I know they're capable of it. So yeah, they can bring Reiko back anytime, I just doubt they will.

I did not like Reiko. I thought his name sounded too "Street Fighter"-ish and his costume needed some work. Most of all, I would have prefered Noob.

IMO i liked Reiko, i thought he was a really cool character and i must say for a character that was rushed he had awsome fatalities and moves. I hope they decide to make him a secret character, with more moves and a new look. If he does return they should add the whole thing between him and Shao Kahn.

Reiko rocks. I used him all the time. He had sweet combos, good speed and good fatalities what more do you want. His story has many possibilities it could definitley work.

Reiko was pretty cool. Although I don't know why he had ninja stars while none of the ninja's did.

How the hell is Drahmin a one shot? He actually had a unique play style, a unique look, a unique story. Reiko is more of a one shot than Stryker. He was a joke filler character, in the same league as Mokap.

now lets not say things we can't take back the only person that belongs with mokap is meat if reiko was a joke characto he was a really cool joke charactor like human smoke and rain

i thought reiko was okay. but i think they should do something like have a big battle sequence for the opening movie and kill off some of the sucky characters. or have them die in another characters ending. So reiko, jarek, striker, and maybe sheeva could finally be out of the game for good. no magical come backs and no remakes. just let dead be dead.

See, Human Smoke and Rain atleast had good stories. The only thing good about Reiko was his spin-kick move, which was pretty bad ass. Then again, they could've just given that to Noob Saibot, and kept Noob in the game. Reiko was really not a necessary character.

I would like for Reiko's ending to be completed in Konquest when he makes his appearance. It would be so easy to close his character and the mystery of him by saying "He was who the Deadly Alliance killed in place of Kahn." It would explain his MK4 ending, and link him to MK:DA and it would also explain why Kahn is still alive.

they are gonna show a close up of "khan" either getting up with his helmet off and his nasty face showing and still alive, or they are gonna show a close up to show that is was reiko that died in the intro 1/2 in MK:D, one of the 2 would make me happy to see.

i dont think reiko should be playable again, but he is the one character that i want his story to be finished the most more then any of fighter.


for those of u who dont know who reiko is, his ending showed him putting on shao kahns helmet, which alot of people thought that shao khan and reiko were the same person.

which they arent, but i hope to see khan without his helmet look instead and him getting up with a nasty scream(everybody in this game i noticed has their own voices).

reiko should be explained though like he died at edenia battle or something.

i think in MK:TE i think they added that noob was the one that killed goro in the battle with kitanas and khan troops.

so they could add that reiko died somehow.

I liked Reiko. I like his story and his playability was very good.

His story was simple but left you wandering, they should at least bring him back for one more game, kill him and that's it. But if Tanya deserves another chance, then Reiko does too.
