Well, I always say that more characters is a good thing. The more the merrier, right? As far as the MK fighting games ending....I dont think so. As long as they are raking in the money, they will keep making the games.

They should stop trying to target these games towards younger kids (the bo' rai cho farts say it all), cuz the older fans will soon stop being interested in it, and there probably will be no more MK. In my opinion, yea, I would also like to see more new characters. It's nice seeing new faces, with new moves, with new styles, new fatalities, shit like that. As long as they don't keep making those smaller less-popular games like MK:SF and such, I think MK will live on for at least a few more games. Hopefully they won't start turning it into some little kid's fantasy world with fairies, ponies, leprechauns, werewolves, stereotypical witches (sindel isn't stereotypical...she's cool), and so on. That will kill the MK series completely. I mean Nitara may have been a vampire, but she didn't kill MK:DA. As long as there still are die-hard fans, as long as they keep a dark atmosphere with this game, and as long as they don't kill it with crappy characters and turn it into a game for 8 year olds, I think MK will live on for awhile.

I think future MK games should get at at most 3 new characters, MK:D and MK:DA has/had alot of new characters and I think we need to let their story evolve rather than bringing more new people in and adding in a new story for them.
But if they go more than 3 new characters per game I wouldn't really mind.

If MK7 is the last game, then I would like to see everyone. Everyone! Also, someone above said Ruby and I agree! She was an interesting charactrer that never played a huge role and in the series she had allied with Ermac but knew Jax.

I think that there should always be a healthy balance between new and returning characters. Something like a 3 to 5 ratio. 3 new for every 5 returning. As for MK7 being the last MK game, I seriously doubt it. MK is Midway' cash cow, it's bread and butter. Even if Boon all of a sudden decided that he was sick of making MK games (which I doubt he'd do any time soon), Midway would still find a way to make sequels to their most successful series ever.
As for MK 7 itself: I agree with those that want more dark, more grown up stories, fighting, and gore. Honestly, GTA allows you to bang hookers and then beat them to death with a baseball bat. I think that the king of violence can come up with something better than farts of fire and 30 rib cages popping out of one guy. MK should be brutal, it should make people grimmace and feel a litte queasy when they see a fatality. Just my opinion. Who would I want in MK7?

If they r gonna end MK soon, which I DOUBT IT, it needs to be a MK Trilogy 2 (Have Every Character/Stage/Costume/Deathtrap/Mode/Code To Please Everyone + More, even a choice between picture endings and movie endings; hell also the UMK3 choose u'r destiny, kombat/ultimate k. codes, and Kahn's treasures; and a 3rd Test Your ..., all Mini-games + chess/puzzle/Konquest/Krypt (complete)/Endurance, even MK4 Group (with Meat)/Hidden/Weapon features even original Reptile in the Pit 1)!!!
Tremor and rest as well, even Chen Kang, Sonya's dead partner, Durac, the dude that starts with a Z that Goro fought in the comics when he dissapeared, Kia, Jatakka, watergod, and Jerrod, even Belokke if they can without getting in trouble!!!
Another wards YES we want it ALL (but prob. only fit on new PS3/X-box 2)!!!

I don't know where some people come up with their B.S. at, such as speculation that MK7 will be the last game etc., the games being directed more at kids, and so forth. I call it a bunch of bull shit. MK has gotten alot more violent and realistic since it used to be, if anything it's aim towards the more mature crowd has stayed the same. As for the last MK, I highly doubt it. With MK being more story driven than ever, there are several places they still have yet to explore. The Vampire people, the Black Dragon clan, the various realms such as the Realm of Chaos, just to name a few. As for new characters, it's healthy for the game. It would get boring if we had almost all returning fighters every game. Luckily, that doesn't happen. We get favorites returning every game, just different ones. Also getting rid of fighters is a good thing. I'm personally glad that Johnny Cage is finally gone. I'm also glad that Liu Kang wasn't in Deadly Alliance, and that it appears that Sonya and Jax are gone this time around. Midway knows what they're doing, and I think the fact that MK has lasted this long should prove that.
All that aside, I'd like to see Mortal Kombat Trilogy redone in today's standard, or a Trilogy using all the characters since MK has gone 3D, which would be quite a few, and of course, a few new characters to throw in the mix.

I think we don’t need new characters at all.
Mk7 might probably return many of the characters that have been absent since Mk3 such as: Stryker, Rain, Sheeva, Kai, etc.
They will also use plenty of the new ones from MKD and MKDA: Nitara, Frost, Hotaru, etc.
And finally, choose the important classic characters to return: Sonya, Scorpion, Sub, Johnny Cage, Rayden, etc.

As far as bo ri chezze fatality goes its awsome and evrybody knows it and hell alepurcane player would kik soooooooo much ass.and u mentiond somthin about werwolves in killer instinctt there waz sabrwulf he was sucsesfull and a wereeolf charecter would kik asss 2 like nightwolfs brother or son er sommthin that would kik ass

As long as MK makes money (and it sure does) it will keep going, and the next gen ps3/xbox2 will sell HEAPS i think making ready for another game and then for ps4

Yea, I remember Saburwulf. He was good in that game, but just copying him is corny, unoriginal, and childish. "alepurcane" Yes, let's get the Lucky Charms dude to join in on Mortal Kombat. And while we're at it, maybe the Trix rabbit can turn Lucky into a little kid and do a fatality on him, making believe it's all those runts that keep stealing his cereal.

I think new characters are a good idea, but only if they're good enough to be in the game. MKD has a good amount of new characters, and some of them look pretty half assed. I'd much rather have a huge cast of classics and a few stand out new characters like Ashrah and Hotaru than 10 new characters like Kobra and Darrius. I don't think MK needs any new characters, constant revolving of the existing ones would suffice, but if they want to add new characters to keep things fresh, thats great, just as long as they stop with these shit designs thrown in and wasting space.
