Yeah, why not? Gamecube won't have online. Midway has to do something to make the Gamecube version stand out from the others so people that have no other choice or who want the GC version.

I can understand that no online play is a big loss, but I don't think they should add extra features. It seems a little unfair. I mean, what about all the XBox and PS2 players without online capabilities? They don't get extra content, Gamecube shouldn't either.

i agree with you there man. Though GC owners can only get it in the 1st quarter of 2005, it's because the production team of MK:D had to consider the pros and cons of porting this game for the GC. And that took some time but they finally decided on it since GC fans have been complaining of being left out. But they not having any online capabilities does not have anything to do with the MK:D production team, it's Nintendo's problem that one. So it's really unfair for GC owners to get more additional characters or stages while PS2 owners and X-Box owners don't get any of the extras though we have online capabilities.

i also think its unfair. the best thing i can think of to justify it is the midway team making the exclusive content for gc downloadable for the ps2 and xbox version (considering they both now have a hard drive and can get online). i hope midway does this instead of leaving the other 2 versions without those said features.

they shoulld at least allow the upgrade to people who use the online. or trade in the old disk for a new updated one for a some fee

man there is a great need for more diapers in this forum as the whiney shit is over-flowing. gc owners have to wait 5 or 6 months for the game. i got an idea, just to make it fair for all the whiners, how about midway just say ya know what, we are gonna delay mkd for xb and ps2 until we can release all 3 versions on all 3 consoles on the exact same day at the exact same moment in time with the exact same features and the exact same exactness. would ya like that, kiddies? now mk gold for dreamcast was basicly a mk4 with extra kontent. man that sure fucked them n64 and psx owners. evil midway struck again. how dare them release a different version months and months after the initial release. god those mother f'ers.

I would like to see a few downloads from the MK team at some point, for both XBOX and PS2 owners. From what I understand DOAU for the XBOX will be having downloadable content in some form, so I don't see why it would be totally out of the question.

That said, why shouldn't MK:D for the GC get some nice added bonuses? If the MK dev team has more time to work on it because it's being released at a later date, and because they don't have to take any time out to code it for online gameplay, I think that it's a very reasonable move on the part of Boon & co.

If what bothers you is the fact that others are getting something that you will/may not be getting, well what can I say? You have to get over it and move on. Not to be a d*ck, but I mean... that's life sometimes bro.

Personally, if I had to choose, I wouldn't be giving up MK:D online play for any amount of extras, no matter what they were. But again, that's just me I guess.

And just so you know where I'm coming from, I own all three systems (PS2, XBOX, and GC).

Everything depends of that will be these bonuses: if it's the bonuses as these we find in Kollector Edition (supplementary bios, trailers), that doesn't disturb me, but if these are supplementary characters, I'll find that unfair, because personally, to choose between the online and supplementary characters, the choice is easy, I choose the supplementary characters cause i don't care about online...

Anyway, I shall take the PS2 version, but if I see that the GC version contains more characters, I shall resell the PS2 version to buy the other one, even if that annoys me because I find that the paddle GC is not adapted for fighting games(well, it's a personnal statement, the problem comes maybe from me)

No one is taking anything away from your game. They're just adding a tiny bit more to the GC version to perhaps compensate for the lack online play, which is probably Deception's main selling point.

By the logic you all are displaying here, back when Deception wasn't planned for GameCube, GC owners were free to say "Well, I'm not getting the game, so XBox and PS2 owners shouldn't, either. It's Sony and Microsoft's fault, not mine."

Things like this happen all the time, with games getting more content on one console than another.

The XBox Spider-Man game had Kraven in it who was absent from the PS2 and GC versions.

Sonic Mega Collection Plus is getting some GG games and a couple of extra games (that were only in the Japanese GC release) on top of what the GC had.

I'm a Ps2 owner, and I don't have online capabilities in my ps2, so I'm pretty much in the same boat the gc owners are, but I'll have the pleasure of playing the game in november, on the other hand, these gc owners will only play mk deception in january, man that's really fucked up

I don't feel cheated, or unhappy because the gc owners will have extra characters or whatever, because while I'm in my room playing mk deception in november and december they will be scratching their heads thinking about britney spears nude in playboy...so I guess they are the ones who should feel unhappy

I don't care whose fault this is, it is certainly not of the gc owners...so let them have those extra features, cause they deserve them

Midway does NOT have to do something. It's Nintendo's fault before Midway's.

Why should we get jipped out or buy 2 versions of he game just so we can all the characters/extras because Nintendo doesn't really support online games. Midway should not have to make up for their faults. If all you own is a GC, then you should suffer for only supporting Nintendo.
