Do you think it is justified that the gamecube version will have bonuses?
0
I think that it is completely justified that the people who own gamecubes get extra bonuses that the PS2 and Xbox owners do not get. Granted Gamecube does have online games but they only like maybe 4 to 5 online games, I am a gamecube owner who really likes the idea of bonuses, I think that it will probably be like 1 or 2 arena's some more background stuff or may 1 or 2 new characters. Me I'm hoping its more characters

MKDA had many problems, but the biggest one would be that there wasnt much competition. There was no arcade life for it and with all the non-broken fighters there were very few people willing to play it competetively.
Now MKD has onlin, adding massive replay value. Any small lame-ass novelty feature they try and add to the GC version will not come close to making up for no online. Lets assume they add a few big name characters and a couple stages. Who cares?
Playing the game online with other skilled players is an experience that makes all fighting games WAY more fun. No extra characters can make up for that. The same length of time it took people to stop playing MKDA, it will take for GC gamers to stop playing MMKD. But us onliners will be playing MUCH longer.
The life of online is far greater than the love of a few novelty features.

Aboslutely, there is nothing like seeing some guy with a crazy record with massive wins, challenging him, and seeing your favorite character played in a fashion you had no idea he could be played in.
Online you WIll see/learn new strats/skills with your characters. You will be much better players since you arent just playing the lame cpu.
The online commuinty of entering tournies, being recognized as a good player or part of a clan of good players, talking trash etc. is too valuable.

First Q, 2005.
Do you realize how far away this is in gaming months? Every single secret that MK: Deception has...will have been discovered by that point, two times over.
Everyone thinks they're making up for the online compatibility.
I think it's more that they have to make up for the fact that MK fans on the gamecube have to wait up to 6 months for MK: Deception. That alone is invaluable to X-box and PS2 owners. Imagine the Gamecube getting the game 6 months before PS2 and X-box? These threads are getting tired and old.
Stop belly-aching about the GC owners getting a few bones thrown their way.
The same people crying about this, are the same people who wouldn't trade in the October 4th release date, for the POSSIBILITY of two extra characters, and two extra levels...but with a 6 month wait...you won't make that trade, right? I didn't think so.

If you read my posts I think the GC people are the ones getting screwed, getting an inferior game months and months later.
btw, chill or stfu yourself. People like you never add anything, just telling people to stfu in all caps (which should lead you to a BAN) doesnt do anything than make you look bad.

All I have to say is that this thread proves how many kids there is out there. You dont hear anybody ages 16 and up talk about how unfair life is, only little kids do that. Since this game is rated M perhaps they arent ready for Mortal Kombat anyways.
Anyways Im a cube owner and let me tell you that online play will be better thn anything we get (well Im a PS2 owner too so Im getting it all). Anyways this equals thigs out, think about it, if we didnt get extra content what incentive is there for us to buy a lesser game for gamecube at the same price? Midways is a buisness, and a buisness's main goal is to make a profit, to make a profit they need to appeal to the consumer. Now I know most of you are kids, but you will learn more about it in high school economics.

sorry its just that this whole ps2 xbox fans getting childishly jealose over a few small replace ments for an online capability is really starting to annoy me and i really want to see this thread go ...
I can predict that they are going to add more features/characters, because if they want to make more money right?
I mean I am sure if they put like other characters or other stages or whatever people that have PS2 or Xbox version and have a GC might buy it again. So if they want to make more money(which they obviously want) they better add new things to the GC version. So I think is justified for GC fans to get some extra stuff.

Personally i dont think cubers derserve extra things because did nintendo is extreamly stupid BUT In order for midway to still sell thousands of copies on the cube so what do they do? Add stuff to the cube version. Also to everyone who thinks that kids dont know anything I am 12 and I have pretty dam good outlook on life. and if you read alot of posts most of the people who think it is fair that the cube hgets extras are people who own both a ps2 and a cube or an x-box and a cube. btw i own a ps2

They should sell the GC version for a discounted price & keep it equitable. I guarantee some extra characters from the Xbox & Ps2 version are specifically being held out for the GC to make up these "extra" features.

Now if that was the case then i wouldn't care! lolz

I think it's all just a clever marketing ploy. Really, you already had a bunch of people willing to buy an Xbox and Ps2 version, seeing this Midway decides to finally release a GC version with extra features. Knowing all the while that the same people will run out and buy this version too in addition to the GC only owners.
I'm probably wrong, but I did find it a little odd that none of this came up untill a lot of people were like "Well, looks like I'll be buying two versions!". And that was only for cover art

i will say that it may be more than one disk for the cube. not sure i like having to change to another disk in mid conquest or what not. I own all three systems, so i guess i really have nothing to bitch about.
I win either way.

Again, what do gamecube owners have to do with that? Why should they suffer, because of a few idiots at Nintendo?
They shouldn't be able to play MK: Deception, because Nintendo is "Extreamly Stupid" ?
Makes sense.

You think wrong...
Hopefully Boon has optional downloadable content planned for the PS2 and XBOX, to be available at some point after MK:D's release.
If you want the optional extra GC features as an XBOX and/or PS2 owner, then there may or may not be a fee involved. That part isn't up to you.
You may have to pay for them but at least they would be available as an option.
If you want the extras then fine, if not, then that's cool too.
Problem solved.

Couple things
1-Gamecube has online. It's Midway's fault for not doing anything about it. But at least they are going to make up for it.
2-Anyone who thinks GC owners don't deserve it, have to be some of the most immature people I've seen. I can understand if you don't like it, but making rude comments about people who haven't even talked to you is disrespectful and makes you look stupid.
3-Xbox almost always gets more content than Ps2, I'm surprised Ps2 fanboys just started to take notice. Maybe it's because they are worried that the feeble GC might actually have something better than them. *GASP*
4-For all you Xbox and Ps2 owners(like myself), I'm pretty sure you have something called "FRIENDS". Use them. If you know someone who has a GC, talk them into buying the game or rent it and play it at their house. It's not like the extra features will be a breakthrough on the level of the DS or PSP.
You get something, you lose something. This is something some of you have to get over.
You don't need to Hara Kiri yourselves because the GC version has the Dragon King or Cyborg Smoke.
