People have said it before and I'll say it again, Deception will be what Deadly Alliance was supposed to be. DA was just a jump start from MK's rough times, Deception will be truly an awesome game. I think it'll be very dark too.

Yes. Heck MK: DA is my fav Mortal Kombat of all time. From what I've read , MK6 is going to be far better than MK: DA. the iceing on the cake would be Frost in MK6!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be better but I don't think it will be as legendary becuase the age of fighters is gone. Maybe we (MK fans- or developers more specificaly) can bring balance back to the force that is fighting games...

Unlike the bandwagon everyone else here is apparently jumping on, I do not think that any MK game, now or in the future, will surpass what MK2 was to us. MK2 was the real launching point of Mortal Kombat. Yeah, MK was good, but it was so simplistic. MK2 introduced some of the series' most popular characters and brought the series forward in so many ways. The series went downhill after MK2...MK3 was ok, MK4 was bad, MKDA was overhyped and disappointing. Even if MKD is going to be what MK2 was to MK, I still don't think it could ever top the feeling MK2 gave me. Plus, I would even go so far as to say its not even the same game anymore. Maybe MKD will be the king of 3d fighters, but MK2 will always be THE MK.

I dont agree with that at all. I mean Mk2 was the best 2d mk ever but up to date Mk:da is the best to me. I think Mk:d will be like 100x better then Mk:da so im really hyped. Mk2 wasnt all u guys r saying it was. I have to say though when Mk:d comes out Mk2 will be my 4th fav game of all time.

That's a good question. So far it seems alot of people agree is will but as for me I don't know. Just have to wait and see what MKD brings us.

why mk2 did so huge impress to me was first mk1, and later on.. mk2 on arkad.
everyone lined around it ,watching it like someone saw a ghost and druled.

Yes and No?This game has all the makings to surpass MK2.They really need to listen to us the fans.We who have played all the MK games.With games like Tekken and SC sucking really bad.It's about time MK makes it's comeback.But MK2 is still fun to play.

I've always felt that Ultimate MK3 was the best of the series while they were still in 2D. Don't ask me why. I just feel that it did what MK2 did, and made it even better, going further along with a sweet combo system, and better graphics, more fatalities, and more characters. The music was even much better in Ultimate MK3.

So will MK Deceptions surpass MK2?

Yes. I believe it will, indeed.

ps: MK2 is still a classic, and great game to play.. I just think UMK3 was a much deeper game, and it was just more fun to play.
