I think there are altrnates in this game

Everyone should get two alts.
I honestly get bored of what they've come up with lately... and the fact SZ looks like MKSM SZ makes it worse.

Maybe they will make something new to the MK Characters, but seeing Sub-Zero I bet that his MKDA look is back (that costume is damn good). Now to DC, I dont know if they will have this type of freedom.

They better have alternate costumes. I've proposed actually in the past that they have a different character skin as a third costume like some characters had in Tekken 4. Naturally with some small changes like lifebars, announcer saying their names, and maybe like a winpose.

I would imagine so. How cool would a Heath Ledger Joker or a Christian Bale Batman be?

There better damn be alternate costumes. I want a black Batman costume, not that stupid grey one in the trailer.

I think there will definitely be alternates. I'd go up to four costumes for each character.

So many DC characters have undergone many looks, which could be included. The Green Lantern, for example, has had many people behind the powers, so including a bunch of them would be interesting. You could also have "darker" costume designs for the characters, to make them seem less cheesy.

This is next-gen consoles, so I see no reason for multiple costumes. Even if the MK team don't have time to design them before the game's release, they can always offer additional costumes as DLC at a later date.

The MKSM Subzero didn't bother me so much because it seemed to present his MKII mode well. But for the eighth MK game, yeah, it's lame. He's a headmaster; he should look like a headmaster.

Although I loved the chain mail underneath his vestments in MKSM. Wouldn't mind seeing that again.

well considering the amount of Green Lanterns there are in the DC U... there should be alt costumes... yeah, Green Lantern should be in the game... and please no, don't put Terry (that's his name, right?) as Batman's alt...

MK always has alternate costumes and the DC game (Justice League Heroes) came with a bunch of alternates for each character.

So, yeah, I'm pretty sure it will. It better!

Would be awesome to see something like the MK Team design a Alt for the DC characters and DC design a Alt for the MK characters would be a different spin on things

I like that idea, seeing how DC think MK characters should look would be cool. Only if they did it good tho.

I think they should do alts from different games and [in DC's case] comics. Like Batman can have a black suit and Sub-Zero can have his Deception suit.

How is that worse? That's mere opinion dude, me personally I like that look. It's not "exactly" MK:SM's look, second it's just a revamped "oldschool" Subby look as oppose to the over the top winter fuzz on his shoulders with the Shredder helmet.....

For me, this costume IS more Sub-Zero like if you ask me personally.

What some people need to remember is that, a characters costume should be altered in each game but "not drastically" with the exception of Ermac and Rain's case being that they haven't been in an MK prior to MK:A since UMK3...it made sense.

But personally, I like the fact that Sub looks more oldschool. Besides, his mask is a bit different then his past masks in detail on the mask, his arms are frozen which he's had since Mk4+

Who knows what his alternate will look like but it would be cool to see a hood-ninja costume for Sub, I'd like that anyday over the Shredder look...

We'll get alternates but as always once we see them, some fans will bitch while others are pleased so just let Midway do their thing. If they had every costume to please every fan we'd have 100 costumes per character...LMAO

I'll be surprised though if Supes doesn't have his Black suit as his alternate.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to see the DC characters designed in a Mortal Kombat style, heavy armored and pissed off. Then see the MK cast decked out in Super hero and villain outfits, tights and bright colors. Though I can already see Sub-Zero looking like Mr. Freeze.... No one can stop Super Shang!

What they should do is have alternate DC super here style costumes for the MK characters, and martial arts / mk style alts for the DC characters ....


Considering Boon's obvious lack of care and creativity with the series by making it a VS. game against DC of all universes, it would probably be to much financial and mental anguish for them do something like this.

MK having DC alternates and vice versa sounds interesting if done properly. However over the years I have tried not to get my hopes high when it comes to MK. We'll be lucky just to have 2 alternates per character.

but..as an MK fan I just can help but wish that this game could end up blowing the other fighting games out of the water. Seeing how there is no Konquest and the mini games bullshit, I hope the MK team can pull it together to make this game a success.

I think Batman and Superman should have Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent as the alts. It would be amusing, plus I've always hated the palette swap alts. It isn't 1995 anymore, you can use the space for a new outfit.

It would be cool for batman to have his rubber lookin suit as his alt.. Id want superman to have his black suit as an alternate as well.. They better not give him his Mullet look! For people who dont know, after superman was killed by doomsday and came back, he had long hair that looked like a mullet.. it was aweful.

With only 22 characters, i REALLY hope they they do include alternate costumes. It would be ANOTHER letdown if they dont.

Yes, on my first part you're right it is about opinions that's what I was saying. You seem to take my post as some kind of insult to your view, which is not what I did or meant if you took it that way.
