I think it should be about half and half because remember women play mortal kombat also. I don't know of any on this forum but women do play the game. I think it should be half and half with diversity from different races, cultures, species, etc.... for both male and female.

yeah i think it will be half and half really but i prefer using the female characters more.

Doesn't matter to me so long as the characters are original, have decent fighting styles, and storylines. Although, I do admit I would like at least one or two more female fighters more along the lines of Sonya. Someone who can fight, keep her clothes on, and isn't a palette swap (*cough*Jade*cough*Kitana*cough) or rip off of another character (*cough*Li*cough*Mei*cough).

To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing a few more half-way decent looking guys.

I think there should be as equal. If there are 15 males there should be 15 females. I would prefer seeing a little bit more females but yeah. many women play mortal kombat that i know of, and also i prefer to use females more often than the male characters.

I think the number of female characters in Mortal Kombat is fine.My favorite female fighters are...Frost,Mileena,Sareena,Li Mei and Kitana.

4-6 females! that is such a little amount. I wanted more females in MKDA but it only had 5 i think.

I like the idea of having an equal number of male and female characters.

I for one would like to see more females as they are great! Females in any fighter dominate the males in my opinion regardless of their number. Their speed and agility and the range of their attacks is excellent. Their look is always sexy and glamorous. They're virtually even deadlier than the males too. True femme fatales. I prefer to play as the females rather than the males although Raiden is my fave character.

More females in MKD will be great. 10 would be a good number.

Half and half would be nice.

However, i want to see different characters from different species and such, not just plain human chatacters. Thats why people like nitara and drahmin, there from there own race. I would like to see a female or male from new races.

common ppl, post intelligent threads, who cares about the amount of male or female characters? whe know they wont put like 20 females and 5 males vice-versa

bleh, females are kool... in real life! but i dont want my mortal kombat flooded with ladyfighters. i'd rather it be flooded with ninjas or samurais or somthing useful for defending or taking over another realm. if their are 20 male fighters, i'd like to see 3 chick fighters. frost was the best chick fighter to come out since mk2 when they introduced kitana and mileena. this isn't tekken or DOA. its mortal kombat. yes the chix are faster than the guys, but i would like the idea or having baraka and reptile faster like in mkG

I would really like to see a female reptile,Oni or specter.i bet they would look awesome.

funny you should create this thread. MK6 will have the largest number of female fightings than any MK game(excluding past MK game updates/sequels like UMK3) in most MK games( excluding past MK game update/sequels like UMK3. We already have Sindel,Milieena,Arshi, and maybe even Li Mei( and hopefuly Frost :.( ) and please consider this ou tof hte 8 new people ( 7 excluding Arshi) that at least 1 more will most likey be female. Also with a large numbder from past MK game returning I think at least 1 more female will return from already know Sindel and Mileena. That brings the total to 4 females( the largest besides of any updated/sequels of any MK game) I can't to see the full roster in the future

PS lets hope that Frost returns for MK6 :.(

lol at "arshi" u mean ashrah i suppose. yes frost IS the best mk female! i would have much rathered see frost return than sindel or li mei, or even sonya for that matter. i still think there are too many femmes in the game already.

yeah frost is awesome. i am actually playin as her rite now in mk5 while i'm on hea. and eventho she is my favorite fighter in mk5, that doesnt mean i want mk6 to be full of females. u know what i mean?

More females because then it'll sell better. Or just pull a FFX-2 and go girl-power all the way!

Uh... you HAVE played Tekken rite? That game never made excessive use of sexuality as a means for sales unlike DOA. In the latest release, Tekken had maybe four females if I recall correctly(Nina, Julia, Christie, and Xiaoyu) and also the other secret character, Miharu, who was only a Ling palette swap. The only character with revealing outfits was Christie, and her outfits were appropriate considering she's a Brazilian dancer. In general, Tekken's females are more modest than MK's, and I can't see how you threw Tekken's name on the blacklist.

dude, i didnt say anything about having revealing clothing. i rather the clothing be revealing, i just dont want a plethora of chix in my fighting game. i used tekken kuz limei reminds me of a tekken character. mostly kuz mk is a dark fighter, darker than tekken or DOA would ever be! and if the game gets alot of chix in it, i fear it may lose it's dark morale and sink to the levels of tekken, DOA, VF, and SF.

it doesn't matter to me. All i want are good characters. MKDA has good characters( imo so don't flame me) rather as mk3 i though the characters were rather dull.

I also would like them to have more dept with the characters. Like if you notice with more of the recent mk's for example, the characters don't have a variety of moves and the plot is very brief and too broad. I feel they should expand a bit.

MK:D should be 90% male. Female characters have always sucked in MK.

I dont really mind the male/female ratio in a fighting game. I do think there should be a decent number of female characters, but I wont go saying it should be 50/50 or 60/40. MK should just focus on making good, developed characters.
