I dont give a fuck about the storyline.
That would be a killer idea imagine Jago vs. Lui-kang or Sony vs whats her name the ninja chick. Anyway that would be A KILLER idea.
| warrior Wrote: a game def. needs a storyline, and for being a fighting game... mortal kombat has THE greatest, hands down!! i'm lookin for mortal kombat vs. killer instinct as the next installment to the series (to answer about ki) |

I own all of the games and zero movies. So, gameplay is more important to me. I do like character endings, background, etc.. They do not make the game better, just more interesting in my opinion.

Of course you need story in MK. Otherwise I wouldn've have given a shit at all about it since MK1. While story isn't the MOST important part of the game, since gameplay is the prime element, I would've give two fucks about MK if its story wasn't as good as it is. People who say they don't give a fuck about story, well...they don't know good games, obviously.
killer instincts and MK, dont ever say that again you should get skulled LOL.
well actually, just to remind you, wat happened to street fighter series when they started crossover games.
wouldnt want that from MK.

Although I've loved the game since the beginning, it was the storyline that really got me hooked.

Well, as far as fighting games go I suppose that "I don't give a fuck about the story." I guess thats means I know nothing about good fighting games, obviously. And people who know good fighting games still play the greatest of them all, DA.
And the SF series has benifited greatly from cross-overs. CvS2, MvC series - though, really, who plays anything besids team ROW or some Cable/Storm/Sent mix in MvC2? The only reason peeps don't get down with SvC is because they've been "taught" it's shit, which it does have issues. Though, you don't see japan bitching, do you? Sammy Vs. Cap is on the horizon. That game alone has potential to breath new life into the now relatively stagnant 2d fighter. If it wasn't for cross-overs SF really wouldn't be where it is today as far as arcade fighters and comp goes.
A person can only play Alpha and 3S for so long.
