Does anyone have any facts on the GCN release?

I'm sorry for asking this question, really. But it's my understnading that the GCN release wil be in first quarter of 2005? Is there anything more exact?
Again, I apologize for asking this. I know many of you out there have a PS2 or an XBOX, but I'm an unfortunate sould with a Nintendo GameCube. Rather than blow the reasonable $150 on another system, I have decided to buy my girl a ring instead. But that's beside th point.
I'm not necessarily interested in online play, and I don't feed into the rumors about the GCN's supposed additional characters. I'll most likely buy it as-is anyway. I really do hope though that all the existing characters, puzzle kombat, and Konquest are in there, without any major changes from that of the other systems. In short, I hope the only sacrifice is the online play.
I also want to apologize for my apparent "lurking" here. I had a profile when this site was MK5.org, but I had changed my email address and such, and eventually forgot my old lame-o member name. Hence, my NEWB profile.
It's difficult for me to come to this site and not have any idea what everyone is raving or complaining about. I've noticed some positive things and some negative things. Still, I yearn to play MKD and will (im)patiently wait my turn until it's released for my not-up-to-par system.

Hey I think GC is very up to par and the exclusive features being put on GC make it more than worth it for me to get it for that system. Just think about it, since you wont even use the online feature anyway, with that being replaced by something else you might use, makes it better than the other systems. Thats the way I see it. But to answer your question January 15th is the most reoccuring date I've seen. Although I must state that I've also seen January 31th and Feburary 15th also. However, like I said Jan 15 is the most.

I also heard ( from my friend at Eb games) that the mkdeception version for game cube does come out in January.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'd give most anything though to have someone tell me the realease date was TOMORROW!
And I'm not necessarily complaining about my GC. I guess each system has its own pros & cons. I just want to play this game sooooo bad!
