Actually that fatality was given to Darrius. Scorpion's only two are the spine rip and the arm/leg rip w/ neck break.

The Spine-Rip is pretty lame, imo, no matter who has it. I think they need to re-evaluate the creativity of their fatalities since Deadly Alliance.

Yeah, over 3/4 of the fatalities in Deception are totally un-creative.

The Spine Rip isn't a bad fatality it's paying homage to the orginal that Sub-Zero did in MK1. That is the single Video Game move that started the Entertainment Software Rating Board - ESRB! YUP! You heard that right, congress had a meeting over that game once! Look it up, I kid you newbies NOT!
That move is a classic and since so many things in the game are paying tribute to the old school games, that's why that one's in here. Why do you think a Witch flies over the moon on the Pit stage? Or why is the Dead Pool Back? The classic courtyard? The MK3 Arcade Tree? The Living Forest?
Not to mention the fact that almost every single MK character can be found in Konquest mode?
This game is a total tribute to past games that make the MK series a success. The Spine Rip is a classis folks. It's not lame it's traditional.
That's my two cents.

That fatality has got to be the greatest fatality ever. It was the first one I ever saw and I still remember the kick ass ness to this day. It's not only a classic but that fatality makes people think more of Mortal Kombat than if you said Liu Kang.
