It actually kills the game, because of all the terrible voice acting.

There does'nt have to be terrible voice acting. I agree that terrible acting kills the movies, but, all they have to do is get better actors.

Well the non FMV endings in MKDA were weak. I hope they improve them. They were so short.

I agree
Well, personally, I think that they really should use both. But, I think that the movie endings should be a reward for doing a certain task or something. Because, I look at them as rewards. And, although the movies in MK4 had mediocre voice acting, I think it's forgivable. You have to look at the time and the way the industry was back then. Not very many games were using them. And, being that it was thier first attempt at creating an MK game in 3D, I think they did very well. Now, the videogaming industry as evolved so well, I don't think that movies would be the same as the were back then, but better.

Agreed! Either type of ending is fine with me. I would prefer FMVs to text endings and stills, but it doesn't really matter.

I liked both but I preferred the movies. It seemed like more of a reward for acomplishing the game. Maybe in MK7?....

I don't know if MK:D's going to have FMV sequences or not. I honestly doubt it. But, I can tell you that one of the things that MK4 of greater value, at least to me, were the movies at the end. And, I can tell you that when I saw that they did'nt include them in MK:DA, I was personally very disappointed. As unfinished as MK:DA seemed, I really think that FMV endings would have redeemed it (therefore, it may have been worth the 50 dollars it was originally priced for).
Now, please don't get me wrong. Of course MK is much more that just movies. However, because of how the videogaming industry has evolved, the movies do make a difference. And, I believe that when executed right, they greatly add to the experience and the value of the game, because not only are you playing a game, but, it's like your watching a movie, and interacting with it. I pesonally really wish that they would bring them back, because, to me, they do make a difference.
What do you think?

Great post, I agree. smile
