When you think about it the Hara Kiri is somewhat like assisted suicide VR style. I mean your character wants to die in dignity and you press a couple of buttons to kill him, now dont get me wrong I love this idea but I just thought I'd point this out.

I would've thought that assisted suicide in MK would be like handing your controller to a friend and say punch the buttons for me. For assistance, there has to be a second party, unless you count self help as assistance. I think the suicide in MK is just that, like ninjas in Japan used to do when founded out.

When playing online, I will never use the suicide things, because that would piss me off and i'm sure it would piss the person off that i'm playing. So you guys can count on the fact that I won't do that.

Word.... I would get pissed if I start punching in the buttons for the cool ftality and just as I finish I see the enemy kill himself? What's the fun in that? Play for two or three rounds and end it with the enemy killing themeselves? it would piss me off royally

I think it is a cool idea, especially for the versus and online play. When you kill your enemy, he can still avoid your fatality. Maybe on the MK:D you will be earning extra coins if you perform fatality, but if you fail to do it because of your enemy's suicidal move, then you'll get nothing or loose coins. Sounds interesting, huh? :)

It wouldn't piss me off just because I would learn how to perform the fatality quicker. It's kind of like a gun duel, whoever is fastest wins.
