What are the chances that there will be an "end match" option on the deathtraps.

I mean two things by that.

1.
Its round one, you get knocked into a death trap, match is over, no round two.

or

2.
You are only able to knock people into the death traps on round 2.

I love the death traps, but hate the idea of the guy coming back to life for a second round!

Hell if there was ever a petition needed it was for this.

You can use death traps during any time of the match. They are an option and can be turned off, whether on or offline. It's already been confirmed.

Chris, I have the same opinion.

I posted a thread on this called 'Death Traps' as I wanted to get a general overview of what people thought of them.

I am in agreement that they should only come into play in the 2nd/final round.

But then again, some one brought up the point of what happens if there is a draw?

If someone wins round one and then they get knocked into the death trap, its going to be the same sought of scenairo as the one we have already, with the character comming back alive to fight a further round.

I don't have the exact quote handy, but there are three death trap options in the options screen: on (ends round), off, ends match.

Do you know where I might be able to track down such a picture ?

Seriously, I wouldnt mind at all winning or losing the entire mathc throughout the first round if it meant that two seconds after I fell into a death trap I was up an saking it off like getting ground up by blades is a normal thing.

According to MKO News (on the front page), it states this in Gamepro October issue.

Hari kiris and death traps are touched upon as well. The new information given includes Sub-Zero's hari kiri (he freezes himself solid and then falls over, shattering) and confirmation that death traps can be turned off, even in online play.

yeah it would seem silly if you can use death traps for every round.

I think it would be cool if there were 3 options like Bezou was saying. Off, End Round, and End Match. I would always play with End Match, just to have a more realistic approach to the game. But I don't think that everyone should freak out about the death traps, because if you are a player who is aware of the arena then you might never get pushed into one.

Yes. I know they can be turned off. Thats not what I am asking. What I am asking is will there be an option to end the match on round one of you spring a death trap.

What about soul calibur 2, in some stages there's a cliff and you can knock down the fighter for a ring out, but in round 2 the fighter alive again .

Death traps are ring out's, it Doesn't have to make since. I do like the option of turning death on only the 2 round, but it doesn't matter when you can do death traps, it matters that you can do death traps!!!
