Actually, yes, he has. MK1, it was revealed that him being at the tournament was cannon, as his story says he lurked in the shadows. Someone capable of fighting, lurking around in he shadows only fighting when he got the chance, would be classifyed as deceiving, wouldn't it. He was deceiving everyone in the tournament, and us. He didn't use the trust of an ally, but he still deceived everyone.

I was thinking that he can either add them to his physical ollection, making him as a singular more powerful, or he can be trying to revive someone (probably Shao Kahn).

I hope Ermac betrays Kenshi and goes with Shao Kahn if he comes back.

I think its a little early to be making speculations about Ermac when we really don't know that much about his intentions in the game.... I just want to be able to play as him again... any speculations on his choice of weapon?

This is true, yet this was for his own security. Once Ermac finally surfaced, he got strung as Kahn's puppet.

Ermac has never shown any malignant or ill will in the past. He just takes comfort in the shadows, and for good reason.
