Ermac and Kenshi: Alliance?

After playing Kenshi's Konquest in MKDA, I was nearly certain Ermac would show up for MK6. Turns out I was right, and now that they're both confirmed, there's no doubt their stories are going to be strongly intertwined. So does this mean that they've reunited for a common cause? My assumption is that Kenshi has called upon Ermac for help, as he has now found a greater mission than vengence.

Or maybe Ermac has betrayed Kenshi in some way. Ed Boon said himself that the name deception applies to numerous characters in the game in many different situations. I doubt this is the case, but it seems possible since characters appear to be returning in pairs.

What do you guys think?

when was kenshi confirmed?..all i read was

"This is the arena featuring the swinging corpses, and concept art shows Kenshi being grabbed if he gets too close to a wall with people looking through a window."

just cause hes in some concept art, doesnt mean he appears in the game. they may have intended for kenshi, but replaced him with ermac..hard to tell.....
unless psm said he was confirmed..i dont know..

The issue of PSM confirmed Kenshi. Although storywise, it was a wise-move to bring him back, I do feel it's a bit pointless to have two telekinetic warriors. It was the same with frost and Subzero in the last game.

I dont know why, but i would kinda hate to see ermac betray kenshi. But after all, we all dont really know much about ermac or who's side he is on, he is still a mystery, and his story is still early in the game. But if he was to betray kenshi, what do you think it would be for?

I like it alot great, my friend can use kenshi who he loves and i use ermac and i will kick his ass and end the dispute against who is better.

Anyway they have two totally differnt fighting styles, and i love the idead not to mention they look way different its not like they are both ninja looking.

I think they should get rid of all the NEW MKDA characters, in this game though, except for the only 2 good ones, frozt, and kenshi. cause the NEW chars. were a disappointment. unlike MK3 which was opposite everybody loved everydamn new fighter in MK3, sektor ,cyrax,kabal ,sindel,.

hmmmm.... I would say yeah they are an alliance, but something bad must have happened to Kenshi to make Ermac come out and fight.

Well, Ermac was used for Kahn's biddings in MK3. He could just as easily be manipulated by the dragon king as well, especially if Shang Tsung is still around. Ermac may have no other choice but to betray Kenshi.

Although Ermac is an enigma, he is also a victim.

Ermac is an abomination of sorts he kinds reminds me of Frankenstein in respects to his creation. He is a collection of souls the souls of Outworld warriors. Although he was under Kahn’s control in MK3 he could go either way now in MK6. He might find himself a place at the side of the Dragon king or perhaps helping the earth realm warriors in some form. I think there is a strong possibility that he will be on the side of light because of Kenshi’s MKDA konquest storyline. Either way I can't wait to find out more about Ermac because what we do know about him is just very cool...of course what we don't know just made him even more interesting...at least in my eyes.

Yeah, both Kenshi and Ermac are already in the game. The PSM article has in-game screens of both of them in action.

For those who haven;t seen the PSM article, Kenshi looks near identical to his MKDA appearence. Same haircut and red blindfold.

They are both confirmed yes but I would'nt go as far as saying that there an alliance, I mean the alliance side of MKDA is no more, and if they did have an alliance in MKD there would certainly be a form of Deception going on between them that would make a storyline for them both BUT.. I also would not put them in alliance just because they both have Telekenetic moves etc etc so on and so forth.

omg thats such a good idea, they must be because it said in Kenshis konquest that Ermac tought him some of his tele moves (The slam in paticular). Or maybe they just thought they would say that because Ermac had that same move in the older game. Now that im thinking about it more i dont think that they will be allies because Ermac was evil and Kenshi was good. Also that would kinda mean that Ermac would be joining the special forces and that wouldnt go good at all.

Actually, he was never labaled as anything till recently. Ermac simply IS. But I'd assume he's good, since he lent his hand to another in repayment. Not to mention, every bad thing he's ever done, he did because he was forced to do so. You could say he was neutral, but I'll take the extra step and just say he's good, unless of course he is apart of the deception.

I always thought he was evil. I never found proof of he really being good but to me he looks like he kinda has an evil look. But that just me

To me Ermac was more like Scorpion. It didn't matter what he was, people loved to play as him. On a side note Ermac might want to look out for Kenshi's katana seeing that it can take souls. So does that mean that Kenshi might be able to absorb Ermac to maybe increase his power?

I think Ermac should take Kenshi's ancestor's souls and sort of betray Kenshi. What good would them both being good do storyline wise? Kenshi returning to the side of good, along with Ermac, would be pretty boring. I think Ermac's stealthly, fiendish deceiving skills should come in handy here.

But my friend, that is why deception is called deception. There will be alot of deceiving. I cant picture ermac decieving someone, but i wouldnt be suprised if it happened.

A partnership between these two would be cool! I'd like to know what Ermacs reasons for returning are and if they do involve Kenshi in some way. They'd make a pretty interesting duo. A blind man and a dead man. Pretty cool.

That sounds like a good idea. Ermac is generally a bad guy. He must have some sort of reason for helping Kenshi in the first place. Maybe it was to obtain those souls? But what would he want with them? Maybe he has some other hidden intention.
