My feeling is that since over half the weapons in MK:DA were swords, a pirate would fit in well - as sword fighting was customary in pirate times. It doesn't have to be the typical stereotype of a pirate (Eyepatch, wooden leg, tri-corner hat, parrot/monkey, hook hand, gold teeth, bandana etc.)
Mileena Sai's female pirate idea could be very cool, in real life the female pirates that succeded were often more ruthless and unforgiving than their male counterparts - they had to be. She could be a devestating character with horrific attacks and could stray away from the typical MK fighting styles - martial arts etc. - instead she could fight dirty.

yeah and she could be known through outworld as the siren of the seas and she could have a ship called the soul ship or somefin which moves by the power of dead warriors that shes come across during battles i think she should have enternal youth but not enternal life
