Notice how Shao Kahn has an updated look that acurrately reflects MKD's style.

Not to be rude, but I sort of agree and disagree with you. This might be a Gamecube screen, but also keep in mind that Kahn was/is a high detailed model in MK: Deception's video bio section. Overall what I am saying it could be from Deception itself as I dare say it hidden character you have to unlock through unknown means. < my opinion

Yeah, I have to say thats real!
I wonder if he actually comes with a storyline/ending, it would be great it he did.
Lets speculate on this, what styles, weapons, moves will he have?
It looks very believeable and i'm persuaded.
Looks like i'm going to go and get the gamecube version of MKD now aswell, who/what else do you think will be in the GC version?

Yeah, I thought he had a mallet?
Oh well they're practically the same sorta thing.
Ignore me i'm typing nonsense

Kahn's hammer is cool and all, but I think he would look much more badass wielding a large sword with jagged edges. Someone submitted a conecpt art of this idea to the old mk5.org fan art database and it looked awesome. I forget who drew it though. If anyone knows what im talking about, can you post it here?

War hammer from the Sky temple for Shao Kahn!

That's SO fucked up if this turns out to be true & Shao Khan is only for Gamecube

Why? If I recall there were exclusive characters in some previous mk's that were not on other systems. Gamecube doesnt have online play and regardless of that the fighting engine will most likely still be broken on GC.

Yes but usually those exclusive characters were for inferior handheld console versions which didn't piss many people off because it was a far inferior version anyway. What bothers me is that I don't even play MK:D online so I guess I should be entitled to the extra content as well

GC owners are still getting screwd because fighting games are barely playable on its control pad.

I can't actually play MKDA on any system other than the Gamecube. I own a Gamecube and an X-box and a friend of mine has a PS2. I played MKDa on it and the controller was just too flat and slippy, I couldn't really get a good grip of it. The X-Box controller is great but just a tad bit big. As for the Gamecube, I love its controller. The buttons I feel are well placed and its not as plasticy as the PS controller. As well as that but the shoulder buttons are much more comfortable in my opinion. But thats just me, maybe others think GC controllers are the worst, I think differently.

They might as well just release the Gamecube version for the PS2 and XBOX as well.... I don't think many people care that much about the online capabilities.

Actually I wasnt talking about handhelds its been done before on home systems.

MK1 had one less character in the handheld version (Game Gear at least)
MK2 had several less on the same system referred above.
MK3 had no system-exclusive characters, as UMK3 was released for a variety of systems as well.
MK Trilogy had only Khameleon/Chameleon different but that was a secret character and not playable from the start. Both characters were only different in appearance anyway.
MK: Deadly Alliance had Sareena for a handheld version.
The only one you could be referring to was MK: Gold which was released for the Dreamcast some time after MK4 was released, and pretty much all the interest in MK4 had died off already.
It's hardly the same situation than releasing a home version with Shao Khan a few months after the other systems had their versions supposed extra content wiped off in favour of that version - which will sell less since nobody cares about the Gamecube anyway.

I doubt it, I think people with a GC will buy MKD. I have a PS2 and a GC and when Midway said that they will release MKD on the Cube with exclusive features, I made my mind right away to hold off until 05 of MKD. Whatever the extra features are they're worth the wait because playing online is useless to me anyhow.

DamRho: Hey Dumbo... I care about the cube... as well as a million others.
And why doesn't anyone understand this at all? Cube... lacks online... its coming out later... so it should get extras. This isnt the FIRST time a company has done this. Companies do it ALL the time when theres a game coming out later for another system. Examples: Medal of Honor Frontline (cube and box versions had multiplayer, while PS2 didn't), Viewtiful Joe (PS2 version had the extra character, Dante, I believe), Resident Evil 4 (not out yet, but they're already saying it will have more weapons and costumes in the ps2 version then the cube version), Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee (Box version had 2 extra arenas and an extra character then the cube version).
So... umm... heres the solution. Buy a cube... but in the end... it probably won't even be worth if for the extras. You've played most of the game... you think a few extras is going to tide you over for another month? Maybe a week tops, thats it.
