i hate frost. the mk series has been well known for its "clones" but damn...at least the ninja clones had their own moves...frost is to sub-zero, as smoke is to scorpion. only with boobs.
i wouldnt miss her if she wasnt in mk6.

I doubt Frost is dead, but I could care less if she is or isn't.

I doubt she is dead and for the record I think she is pretty cool. She was my fav character in DA. Besides It never confirms her as dead. It just says consumed by her own freezing ability.

She copys no moves in DA if i recall correctly
Her moves all diffrent from Subbiez mayb those moves were from previous MKs but doesn't really matter does it and besides her personality is really cool 2....

shes a cheap rip off of sub-zero, if you cant see that then you need help. its like the mk team said "lets make another sub zero..but female..and lets give her a ground freeze and slide..but alter it so people wont call her a clone"
they could have made her more orginal. but they didnt.

And its not all about the styles either. Its more about the storyline in my opinion, while Frost is a good 'filler', I don't see much in the way of a sequel worthy character. She reminds me of Hsu Hao, just an understudy for another character. Their storylines aren't bad, they work for MKDA, but unless Frost is a spy or something against the Link Kuei she's as good as gone. Whether you like it or not, she IS a female version of Sub-Zero, I heard early rumors years ago about 'Sub-Zero's sister' being in MK5. While Frost's storyline did develop over time, she is still basically a female with ice powers. It was something some fans wanted to see, so the MK team made it so.

Anyway, about the original question, all the endings are only 'what if' scenarios. We won't know if that ending was true or not until MK6 is released.

i think they are leaving it open, if fans want her they will get her, if they dont they wont.

fighting styles have nothing to do with her character design. if it was back in the day, and every "classic" character had a different fighting style, smoke would still be considered a scorpion clone cause they shared the same special moves. its lack of creativity. they could have gave frost her own unique moves, but didnt. why? like the "ninja clones" of old, jthey based her character of of a character that was very popular..sub-zero. instead of making another direct clone, they basically took his character and made it female.

Frost's ending ties in with Sub Zero's; Frost's occurs first. Sub Zero's ending states that Frost was severely injured, not dead.

Still, I doubt she'll be back, and I don't care either way.

exactly Nikodemus i dont care if shes a clone shes got her own personality and besides scorpio you constantly talkin bout the same moves but scorpions and smokes moves are the same in 1 mk but in DA frosts and subbiez moves are diffrent if they were the same in DA that would suck but they got both diffrent playin stylez

And more importantly, I seriously doubt Sub-Zero would want anything to do with her after what she did! She's just a greedy, arrogant bitch, so she obviously has no place in the Lin Kuei anymore.

She's dead (which I hope) or she comes back as another enemy of Sub-Zero since she is a traitor, or maybe she learned her lesson and now she'll be a humble and good girl and just stays home learning how to fight and then she possibly, could come back...

smoke had scorpions moves in mk2, umk3, and mkt. thats more than 1 game. learn to count. frost just has a modified version of subs mk2/mkt ground freeze. the only difference is, hers goes across the floor. besides..its not just the moves..its her whole character thats a clone.

I'm agree with that, Frost is a rip off and besides, we're expecting many things for MK6 (great new and old characters with dazzling powers and outfits etc) for another game with two refrigerators. And since it's highly probable Sub-Zero mught appear... I think Frost won't... But of course that's what I think and I hope...

Frost is pretty cool, and I cant tell you how annoying I find it when people call her a rip off of Sub-Zero.
For one thing, her personality is completely diferent.
Her moves are diferent, the only thing similar between their moves is that they are both based on ice. But that's it. I dont see anyone calling Kai a Liu Kang rip off because most of his moves are fireballs. I dont see anyone calling Quan Chi a Shang Tsung rip off, but they both blast flaming skulls.
So Frost and Sub-Zero both have moves based on ice. Big FUCKING deal. The moves are pretty diferent.
What would you do to make Frost-keep in mind, she's a female ninja with ice powers- to make her more diferent from Sub-Zero?
Diferent personality, diferent costume, diferent mask design, diferent moves, diferent fighting styles(VERY diferent, actually. Sub-Zero's are mostly low ranged fighting styles, and Frost's aren't). They even gave Frost her own hairstyle. I'd say they made her original enough.
And yes, she's pretty awsome.
