And about the MKDA "retcon" I dont think it was really a retcon, I think what they meant about Sonya and Jax rescuing him was just not to be so wordy in saying that they helped him regain his soul. I mean Im sure the konquest didnt want to tell the whole Lin Kuei finding him story again.

MK4 was written under the assumption that Kahn was dead. Otherwise it doesn't make sense for Reptile to jump ship (that's Baraka's job). Kahn would have slain him for treason immediately upon his return. That was retconned by MKDA.

retcon = retroactive continuity. The new games override the history of the old games.

Canon = official storyline. For MK, this means the newest version of the games ONLY. No films, TV, Kard Games, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

MK4 storyline never said that shao kahn died, it just said that he was defeated. The first war with shinnok was between raiden and shinnok. That took place long before any mk game. The second war with shinnok was in mk4 and that was between shinnok and elder gods. Thats when reiko dissappeared. Why wasn't noob in MKM. Because the people that made the game didn't want him in, they wanted to inroduce a new story with mainly new characters. And that the brothers of the shadow serve mainly shinnok. Sareena and the others were under orders from quan chi and the time. Noob probably was with shinnok. Its hard to be a brotherhood with only noob and reiko. Goro fighting for shinnok wasn't retconned. He fought for him only to fight liu kang. As for the MKG bios of the five new characters those are the official ones. The ones in the guide are. If you want to be techincal, sindel was actually dead during mk4. Kitanas bio says that all the residents of the castle, including queen sindel, were either killed or imprisoned. And in liu kangs ending kitana offers him to rule by her side as king, which he could only do if she was queen and her mother was dead.

Raiden, Baraka, goro, kintaro, human smoke and classic sub zero in MKT aren't canon. They never appeared in the MK3 storyline. They were only there because it was called mk trilogy and included all characters from previous mk games. Other characters that were canon had their story overwritten by MKT(Rain i'm still unsure of atm). Baraka was actually killed by kung lao in MK2.

And just because scorpions fatality in MK1 was the flaming breath doesn't mean he killed him that way. Because in his fatality he burned them to the bones. He doesn't have any skin to scortch. Noobs skin is its natural charcoal color. It was not burned. He is a demon that was born in the netherealm was was the rest of the the brotherhood of shadows.

Justin, you say that you never recieved the credit for coming up with this theory but in the other post you did concering this topic people did give you credit.
