Okay, here's the scenario:
The guys at Midway say to YOU, "Okay the choice is yours, you could have the MKD game for whichever system you own, Xbox OR PS2. You can either have the original game with all the stuff including online, OR we can get rid of online and give you a couple of MYSTERY bonuses."

Which would you pick? I mean, 100% honest, I don't think I EVER plan to play it online, simply because of the extra money that's involved, so to me that feature would be useless. And besides, as Peter Griffin said in Family Guy "A boat is a boat, but a mystery box could be anything... It could even be a boat!"

I love that quote. Anyway, I don't give a rat's ass about online (now if I had it for PC, then that would be different), but I'll still get it for Xbox or PS2 then maybe GC too.

Yeah, the first thing we have to do is find out whether this new extra bonus is worth buying two games for, if it is, I'll get it for gamecube in time too.

Well, I'm saying that if you had a choice to get rid of online and get this mystery bonus, would you take it?

I would like to get the mystery box! I'm not using online either because of the money. I really wish Ed and co. would tell us what the mystery bit is though, I'm waiting out for the Gamecube version in hopes it's more characters or tag team or something really kickass, but if its just extra content like pictures or the test your might thing, I'll just get it for the PS2 and not wait antoher 5 months or so.

Mystery box. I don't have the time or effort to deal with asses via online kombat.

I don't want a bigger movelist Boon. I want a reason to use more than
10% of the ones you've given me. Fix MK with Move Properties.

I wouldn't count on additional characters and stages. All they said was two exclusive modes.

Online play. I love my online games, and competing with others. I used to stand in lines at arcades to plop down my quarter on the screen to play MK. My friends won't play MK anymore because other fighters are more advanced. If it was not online... it would just be a one player game for me == NO FUN for me. I sold DA after unlocking everything in the krypt and beating the game with everyone. With no competition what is the replay value of said game?

BTW, it only costs $40 or so for a ps2 network adapter. I think it is definately worth the price to kompete against other kombatants.

EXACTLY!! This is what MK has always been about. Playing a stranger, seeing if you have what it take to beat people other than your friends. No way in hell I would ever pass up this chance. PS2 online all the way baby. Can't wait to kick ass old school MK style!

I am sorry but Online sounds so exiting, I longed for the days when people would return to the Arcades and play Mortal Kombat like they used to. I remember sitting at home one night at like 2 in the morning playing MK Gold and wishing I had someone to play with. I now have that chance, I could play anyone any time it sounds too good. It would not matter to me what the whole "mystery" is because I don't think anything else would be as fun to me as online.

Yeah, I'm not saying that just cause I won't play online I'm not gonna get MKD on PS2, I will. But if Online version was a physical thing, it would be collecting dust in MY house...
