Yellow is based on FEAR as far as I remember.

Long story short: the 'yellow impurity' was Parallax, and he's gone, so they're fine now.
GL will be able to whoop Scorpion, just like he would anybody else.

so if scorpion is wearing dark yellow does that mean his power has no affect on scorpion

Well, here's a helpful hint, after Parallax's first coming in the DC Universe, he unintentionally took away the Lantern Corps weakness to the color yellow.

Any word on which GL will be in the game? I'd assume Hal Jordan, since he's the first, and right now, the one with his own series.

Weakness to the color yellow is a rookie weakness based on, as someone already mentioned, fear and doubt. All of the main Lantern characters (and even most minor ones) don't have such a weakness anymore.

That's how they succumb to it, yes, but the impurity itself was Parallax.
As Hal Jordan vividly displayed during his turn in the mid-nineties, it's far from a threat unique to GL rookies. Kyle Rayner became possessed briefly in a very recent example during the Sinestro Corps War, too.

In a tragically ironic twist, the Green Lantern has not had enough leafy greens in his diet, and is thus rendered weakened by a deficiency of vitamin B -- which was a supplement he could not take for decades due to the tablets being yellow!!!

For the Same reason ermac doesnt expldoe people's head instantly through telekenesis, or the same reason scorpion doesn't automatically spear people in the face, or Reptile doesn'tdo tasty meal immediately, or Liu Kang having a normal voice yet STILL gobbling.. It just doesn't make sense for a fighting game

Unless they were too lazy to hold it themselves, they'd have been fine.
It doesn't weaken them. They just couldn't use the green energy to directly effect anything yellow.

Fu Manchu would totally whoop ass, though. Y'know, unless they thought about fighting back the old fashioned way...

Which begs the question, what'll GL's non-special moves be? It's not like GL has a vast martial arts background. Then again, neither does the Joker.

Contrary to popular belief, most GL's have at least some competence when it comes to throwing a punch [visual aid!].
They're also known to, on occasion, walk under the power of their legs, instead of hovering around in bubbles all the time.

But the pee might have numbed the rings since it's yellow(unless they drank water) then pee is clear so perhaps that wouldn't effect them

Sinestro Corps uses different ring energy I believe right? Yellow, but I'm not entirely familiar with his backstory. I know he used to be one of the best GL's before "turning to the darkseid" didn't he get kicked out or the GL corps or something?

Sinestro was an over zealous dictator Green Lantern who forced everyone to pee on themselves because they weren't allowed to hold it.

He got exiled to an anti-matter universe (Qward) where weapons designers created the yellow rings the Sinestro Corps later started using. Yellow rings being the perfect ironic punishment for his overbaring rules of excrement.
