I think Havik is one the best new character. Ashrah, havik and Dairou are the only ones of the new characters who interest me and who I want to see in future games.
I think he has a great look, in both costumes, but I think he is let down a little by the fact that he didnt have an original style. his two fighting styles are from other characters who didnt make it to Deception. I think he needs at least one new one, but his weapon was good.
As for his moves, well they were ok. I wasnt a fan of th ones that dont really affect your opponent. Seem a bit pointless in a fighting game to me.
His story is very interesting. He is formally a neutral charcter, yet he is already becoming more evil with his links to the black dragon and his ending was a real cliffhanger...well, sorta, we know what he did, but what will happen is a mystery. (His is one of the ending I think will happen, however I dont think we have seen the last Onaga.)
Havik has lots of potential too, being from Chaosrealm gives him high probability to return in the future, as he is the only one in MK that represents that realm and may lead us to know more about it. Also as I have said, his links with the Black Dragon and Shao Kahn leave him open to a good few storylines possibilities.
i'd welcome Havik to future Mk games.

You know I like the prospect that ChaosRealm has much more to offer, its one of the scariest realms I think, it has huge potential.
I agree his ending is cool and one of the best I think, I would like to see his character evolve.

I think that Havik is the best new character by far as i really despisedd all of the others with a vengeance. Also i really love his taunt moves they absolutely Crease me up especially when i managed to avoid Sub zeros Ice ball move by breaking my own back and cducking under it. I love Havik he is easily the best thing to come from Deception and i hope he will return in the future.

Havik is a good concept. Almost as good like the first MK characters were.
His storyline is twisted, scary and he's the misbegotten boogeyman of the series. I vote for Havik.
Dairou and Hotaru are the best newcomer characters in MKD.

Havik does not have any moves that serve no purpose. For those of you who have not mastered Havik yet, his taunts actually avoid attacks and replaces his life a little bit. Try it for yourself and you will find that these "useless" taunts actually serve a very good purpose. I have actually won draw matches by using the "useless" taunt and regaining life with seconds left in order to pull ahead of my opponent for a victory.

Dairuo? Your kidding me right? If they decided to bring Dairuo back, please give this character a new set of moves.

Havik, I would say is okay overall, but could have been better.
Looks: I don’t really like his default, but his alternate is one of the best costumes in the game. It sort of makes him look like the Grim Reaper.
Story: I don’t like his story, he needs something better to do. All he cares about is chaos, nothing else. He needs to turn completely evil and conquer the realms or something like that.
Moves: His special moves are very unique, he’s the only character you’d see breaking his bones. His hand to hand styles are just copies of Shang Tsung’s and Quan Chi’s and they don’t even fit him. He needs his own set of styles, and they need to look chaotic. His weapon is the coolest weapon in the game, it needs better moves, though. I don’t think his weapon fits him, however. They should have let Li Mei keep the morning star, it fit her perfectly, and given Havik the sickle Noob had in MK4/MKG. Since Havik looks like the Grim Reaper and since his default was originally his Grim Reaper costume, I think a sickle would have fit him perfectly.

I love Havik.He reminds me of Violet from Thrill Kill.He really freaks me out with that half ripped face.His costumes are cool and I love his special moves.He has a great story and his ending could be canon for MK7.He is the Yin to Hotaru's Yang.He does remind me of the Grim Reaper.I think he could use better styles and a cooler weapon.Snake and Tang Soo Do are very orderly arts that don't really fit him at all.He needs something deceptive and unpredictable.He's my favorite new character along with Kira,Ashrah,and Hotaru.

I do not agree with you there. There's too many characters who want just to konquer the realms. Havik's story is new ,original and good. I like the fact that he likes chaos and want to spred it in every realm.

Havik is the best character the MK Team has come up with since Quan Chi in MK4 and that's about it... The Kobras, Kiras, Darriuses, Hotarus, Bo Rai Chos and Li "hey, I look just like Mileena!" Meis are total waste of disk space.

I i agree with it has a great look but thats the ONLY thing he has cool.

Havik and the chaosrealm are definatly a good inclusion to the MK universe. They just need to give him original fighting styles, combos for his morning star, and faster taunt recovery.( his spine break may be able to dodge projectiles, but his neck twist is slow and useless)

definatly the best new character in this game. he just has so many things that are interesting about him that were mentioned earlier in this thread. if only Kobra, Kira, Darrius, and Dairou could be more interesting.

Yup, Darrius is an ass, but Reiko and tanya are bigger whores than Darrius could ever become. Thank God that they improved Tanya for MKD, and killed her for good (let's hope)
Dairou needs new moves and more original story continuing. Hotaru simply rocks. Come to think of it, Hotaru vs. Havik would be the best match ever since Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero.

Havik is an awesome character, his plot has so much potential - although they didn't fill it out too much. His health-regenerating moves kind of suck, but the rest are kewl. His ending is by far the BOMB! I'd...that combined with Raiden's bio an ending leads to an interesting idea - something I'd love to see: Raiden and Shao Kahn tag team (like Noob-Smoke) as the boss for MK7 - that would be BEYOND amazing
