Kitana is captured in the dragon Kings palace. Her absence in the game opened the doors for other characters such as Mileena and Sindel.

She might be included as a final thought, but I doubt we will see her in this game.

That chess game is very old. Pictures for testing characters. So far, there is no word about Kitana.

She is not in the game.

But there's no official proofs for some playable/hidden characters too.

At least Kitana made a slight appearance in one of the MK:D chess pics, which might be a sign for her return.

Kitana could very well be playable. There is a rumour that all MKDA characters wil be in the game playable, but with no new outfits or endings.

Regardless, I'd like to see her and her outfit on the chess game is her MKDA outfit if I'm not mistaken.

Rumors, rumors, rumors. The fact of the matter is that none of us is gonna know the final roster until the game actually comes.

im glad this happening,..nut what i am hoping(if i were creating the game) is that if u beat the game w/ every 1 that has something to do w/ her story,that she ends up getting freed from the chains...also a version(weaker)of the dragon king that we kill the first time around w/ every1 to release all the sercrets including the weaker version of the dragon king that we have too kill first w/ every 1 to be able to play as him and other secrets like kitana,jade,fujin,jerek,pretty much every 1 that is in jail in the prison stage. hopefully sonya will be a secret 1 also(just so i can beat queve and tom tazz onlime ) anyway after we do all that,i hope we get a bigger tougher version of the dragon king after we beat the game w/ every 1..also the stage will be different meaning kitana wont be in it anymore. i think this is a good idea cuse i know my self and alot of other wanted to be able to release sonya and kano from the chains in mk2. anyway heres hoping.. danadbab crosses fingers!!!

I like that idea a lot! They should use it! I think that alone gives plenty of replay value! unlocking Kitana in that way would be great! I like the idea of her removal from the stages background too! Awesome!

i was just about to post what queve said, but i would get flamed for it.

anyway like he said, kitana is NOT freaking playable she gets captured, and either is the MKDA people that werent confirmed, they ALL get trapped in earthrealm cause of hsu hso, and jax kills hso huo but they are still trapped in earthrealm. i readf somewhere in MKDA that jax found a way back to outworld, that might explain why people think he is in MK:D.

but no DA, kitana, raiden, and maybe jax, or shao khan, they are confirmed for the game as in FMV intros, but not playable.

either way everybody is in konquest, and u can use there fighting styles, so if u want sonya or quan chi to be in the game or kitana too fucking bad.

but u can give your konquest fighter there fighting styles and that way u are able to use your favortie fighter still and kick ass online.

I think the most important clue to if she'll even be a secret character is the fact that her data has already been created from DA.

Remember the old ass pics where the screenshot looked like it was from DA, well only because they're using DA as the stepping stone. So.. we could see any number of untold DA characters.

For the story's sake, they may not have put her in. I just wouldn't be surprised if she were playable.

i have not seen that picture.it would be great if she was in the game along with sonya. mileena sonya and kitana are the great females of mk. girl power!

I do pray that Kitana, Sonya, Kung Lao, and the rest of the Prison Stage people are hidden playable characters!!! (Please Boon!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Kitana being captured (Again as according to the movies) will make the movie lame when it comes to that phase.

I don't think so, Kitana is an important character in Mortal Kombat and she ties in so many characters together in the story.

I would like to see Liu Kang be corrupted by the Dragon King and capture Kitana from the conquered Edenia. Kung Lao would relize that Liu Kang is back alive and he is not in control of his soul. Kung Lao will seek to face Liu Kang in one of the most ultimate fights in Mortal Kombat history. Mileena could be behind the Dragon King also, she might have sided with him just so that she could get her hands on Kitana. But I would like it if the two made their peace and Kitana turned Mileena against Baraka. Mileena would fight against Baraka because he stabbed Kitana with his blade which will enrage Mileena to fight.

sorry to say, buti think it has been said that infact is a TEST of chess kombat, and it used the MKDA's characters for the test, so kitana and quan chi of course most likely wotn be in the game, but its still possible...

It is highly unlikely she will be in MK:Deception. That picture was taken in the early stages of Chess Kombat. There is a possibility that she might return but it is highly doubtful.

That makes zero sense. What's a newcomer to the series supposed to think, seeing all these characters in the intro video and then *never* seeing anything to do with them again in the actual game?

Some confirmation! Confirmed for the intro video - true or not - does in no way confirm that they're NOT hidden and/or secret and completely playable.

2+2 is to 5 as MKdeception is to Kitana.

So basicly, I think this game does not need kitana, and that I rather see someone else in her place.

If she was captured why did they do it for a second or third depending on how you see it.

(F.Y.I.--I own gamecube deadly alliance & we just got new PS2 end of May for my sisters' DDR's and my Deception in October--I am an amazing anime artist (female)--I am a faithful fan of MK4's Sonya + Tanya & Deadly Alliance's Sonya + Kenshi + Kitana + Nitara & Deception's Kira (only her concept drawing for now) + Mileena + Sindel + Kenshi so far). Kitana fans . . . DO NOT WORRY. Still not fully convinced about Kitana yay or nay? DONT WORRY!!! Besides what people said so far, I have yet ANOTHER important clue that KITANA IS RETURNING that surprisingly no one else bothered to mention. If you ever came across "DMitch" 's messages in this wonderful deception discussion site, LOOK AT his rectangle PICTURE. If you notice like I did, the pic has a bunch of MK characters' fighter selection screen faces all mixed in there from MK4 + DA + Deception. I downloaded the pic and stared at it many times. Please trust my good judgment in what I have to offer, because I am known as a very good anime artist to my friends @ school, and I know Kitana when I see her! If you look at "DMitch" 's MK pic, Kitana's Deadly Alliance AND her Deception face pic are BOTH on there! Deadly Alliance Kitana's face is to the left . . . but wondering who that girl is in the very top right corner who has dark hair and blue mask covering her face below her eyes? She is directly to the right of Deception Kenshi's face and right underneath Goro's MK4 face (top right corner). Well . . . That is Kitana's Deception fighter pic! Still not convinced? That same pic of Kitana's face IS from Deception because as the artist I am, I am pretty positive that it looks extremely similar to Mileena's Deception render pic as well. I was very shocked at how much "DMitch" 's pic is a dead giveaway of Kitana and other Deception faces thrown in there with MKGold + Dead. All. faces. BTW it is also kinda disappointing how lots of screenshots and renders we've seen so far spoil what a few Deception characters' alternate costumes will look like . . . So anyway, that pic reveals too much, wherever the heck it came from! I used to not be sure either if Kitana would be there, but with the things I've read on different sites & with the pic I saw on DMitch's messages, this time I feel a LOT more almost-100% convinced that we shall see Kitana again along with our other known-so-far Deception favorites in Deception.
