Add MKF30, I go on late, late at night during the week a few times a week usually. Not every day.

when we play we play on both systems. you can't win because you feel the need to yell by using all caps locks. maybe you should stop yelling and focus on developing your lack of skills.

i just recently got the xbox version cuz I got a 360 and the first day I played there were several online and now there are none. and I added a few people as friends to play but I can't ever tell if they are online playing mka cuz I'm guessing if they play an original non 360 game it won't say what it is. and if I invite them to play they may be playing something else and I get tired of waiting. although I have seen some that were online where it said they were playing "halo 2" so im confused.
but anyway it sucks cuz not many are online cuz the xbox version seems far less broken and more fair. and the graphics are significantly cleaner and loads faster.

Well, I'm in the far minority on this; but I still honestly believe that once official word of MK8 gets out (whenever that is), it will re-spark people's interest in MK and several will return. Not all, and maybe/probably not even most. But many will.
I could be completely wrong, no question. But that's just the feeling I have.

But there's also more people playing UMK3 as well, and this will only increase once UMK DS comes out in a few weeks.
There's already many people elsewhere getting a DS just for that game among lots of others.

ultimate mk for the DS and all is neat and I like the DS but the game takes a while to get used to on a 360 controller let alone the ds game pad but as long as the gameplay and graphics hold up then it won't derail the franchise. and if they are gonna release mk games for handhelds they need to be the older 2D ones. I still think they shoulda considered MKT for it instead but what do I know?
and I still think a patch or somethin should be made available to add more characters to UMK3 for the xbox. and I know...I know...it technically wouldn't be the arcade version anymore...but it would be neat.

im also buying a DS and UMK3 . wish it was for psp but oh well .

Yeah! What the hell is the matter with Bone and MKF? Buying a DS for UMK3? I can understand if you're buy it more Mario but for UMK3 when you could play it on the big screen?
But then again, I might just wake up one of these days feeling lucky, pop to the store and arm byself with a black DS and UMK3 and one of Mario games. hmmmmmmmm... I see it now! I could play it on my way to work. hmmmm... hmmmm... DAMN IT! Why am I even being tempted? Screw you guys!

Because it's cheaper then a 360(those who don't have one) and since Halo 3 consumed like every game online lol there's less comp now on the 360 version sadly...I'm not surprised though, Halo 3 I knew was going to take everyone or mostly everyone from other games in general.

The D-pad for the DS is MUCH better then the shitty 360 D-pad easily, another reason why believe it or not a lot of people that play UMK3 are excited about the DS version, of course the DS phat(oldschool DS) to some has a better D-pad then the DS lite but that ones good too. It's just smaller so you have to get a little used to it, still I personally believe that d-pad on the DS is better then the 360 easily IMO. Pighut Wrote:

I see what you're saying about the other 2D games, but a few things you must realize dude MKT is fun but very, very broken...I believe a lot of players would be turned off in a way if it was MKT because of how broken Noob, Rain, Baraka etc are in that game. UMK3 arcade port is much better, not broken and is very balanced. MKT is not. As for MK2 arcade, now that's a good one. I'd like to see later on MK2 arcade for the DS with say MK:A racing mode online. That would be hot or they could make MK 4 arcade with MKA racing mode as the mini game. BTW, graphics are spot on dude. I'll show you guys videos that are new recently put up. You can choose which screen you want gameplay on as well as move lists, check them out.
Not sure if you guys are aware or not but the DS UMK3 isn't just UMK3 arcade port, it also comes with MKD's puzzle mode as well, both online via wifi
To trax, lol yeah dude some people are buying a DS just for UMK3 online but I already have one so I just need the game
Here's some vids of the game, check it out guys they make good use of the dual screens:

double screen looks pointless
I'll stick with my xbox mad catz 360 controller and play on big screen .
The only time I have to play video games is when i'm home and when i'm home i don't want to look at a small tiny window of a screen when I have a 48 inch lcd waiting in front of me.

It's not pointless because like I said man, the other screen that you choose has the actual special moves and finishing moves on it, I wouldn't say that's pointless. It's actually very helpful actually.

Ok, not sure if you're being witty or not but ummm...
Good way to waste paper lol but hey to each his own man, reading fast in between matches isn't a problem for me especially when it's in the palm of my hand to begin with(literally)
UMK3 just so you know only has like 3, 4 moves max per character and 2 fatalities, 1 babality, 1 animality and 1 friendship.

Here's my deal with umk3.
When i play video games I'm home.
I don't play on the road, walking, etc.
I play at home
So when I'm home I rather play on a HD 48 LCD screen rather than a DS. It doesn't matter if the DS has 19 screens, I'll take my HD over the 6 inch or whatever the hell it is any day.
Oh and I didn't know umk3 has special moves and friendships. When did they add those? Is that because of the double screen as well? hehe

i here theres a run button, if u are going to sit here an actually try to convince people that the ds version is better than playing on a 360 than i really dont know what is wrong with ur brain.
next u are going to say playing mk2 on genesis is the same as playing on a arcade machine.

The 360 version and the DS are the same, if you don't know this by now then you just show your ignorance straight out. They're both perfect arcade ports and the same company just so you know Red that ported the 360 version for Xbox worked on the DS wifi version as well, besides Midway's obvious involvement.
Bet you didn't know that did ya? Of course not, the DS can't possibly be good in your mind...
Just so you know, the D-pad is better on the DS then the 360 version thus why people HATE playing fighting games on it.
I'm sure with the time you have though you can some how link wires to a joystick from your DS, I've seen a video where a guy converted his SNES controller playing a DS game on his TV.
And ummm, again try READING what I type Red. Anyone with half a brain knows damn well that any console version of MK arcade games are broken, inaccurate.
Sega MK2 is not a good version of MK2 and definitely far from MK2 arcade. But if they port a perfect MK2 version on DS later on or PSP, that's obviously arcade accurate. That's my point, who give a shit if it's on a portable or not. You still won't accept the fact that now days arcades are dead, admit it already. Name me one person on here who's going to travel in person to play you via arcade MK2-UMK3....
The difference is this, DS version of UMK3 IS the arcade version 100%. Download that into your brain ok Red, it's not MKT, not SNES version or Sega versions...it's the arcade version.
If you were actually following up on UMK3 DS you'd know this, apparently you're not obviously...
@pighut, that's fine if you want to stick with the 360 version. I plan on playing that version once I get one myself but I also will play the DS version since there will be just as many players if not more actually. DS factually sold the most units out of any console or portable out right now over the past 3 years.
There are some people here that are going to get it though, trax, krazybone, mesofly said he might get it, I'll get it and then there's players over at UMK3 site that are hyped up about it. As in 4 pages of hype in ds UMK 3 thread. So, Red you might be shocked but it's true.

I have no use for a DS. It would collect dust. I'm not into who is playing what but only what works for me. I'd never buy a system to just to play someone

no i dont no that company digital eclipse, midway had nothing to do with the conversions. they didnt do a damn thing to make mk3 online playable.
the same company that pretty much converted all xbla games.
umk3 arcade was playable over the net in 1995, its nothing new. if midway put more time and effort into that back than, than mk would have survived the arcades.
