I like the game. The only thing I think they could have changed is the amount of characters you have to beat in arcade mode. You just have to fight 7 characters to get to the Dragon King. They could have made the arcade mode a little longer. I really think this is a great game though.

I made a thread like this not too long ago though it eventually died down.
Anyway, I think MK: Deception is a great game and an improvement over MK: Deadly Alliance in quite a few ways. However, there are also quite a few things that need to be improved on. To fully explain what I mean would take a very long time so to sum it up, I would have to say certain gameplay aspects and other things. I wish the graphics and voice acting in Konquest were better. There were some characters I didn't like in MK: Deception such as Kobra and Tanya though I suppose in all fighting games that there are characters that people will like and characters that people will dislike. Overall, I was really impressed with the game though I hope that the next MK game will improve on the things that need to be improved on. I would really like to see elements from older MK games such as the aerial properties in MK4 implemented in the next MK game because I'm not a fan of the way the aerial properties are in MK: DA and MK: D.

To me Deception didn't meet the MK standards. To me it lacked cool new areas( over half of the stages in Deception are from past MK games) . It played on too much of MK past and didn't have anything orginalnew characters are lame(all but Ashrah and Kira). The fighting recovery was slow, thus game slower than MK: DA. Konquest to me was a bit pointless, since it barely had to do with Deception storyline when it comes to MK characters. Overall I feel that Deception could have been great, but much side stuff took away from what was inportant in Mortal Kombat. Deception is least favorable of the Mortal Kombat games.

Well I personally think that Mortal Kombat continues to grow as a franchise. Deception is much improved over Deadly Alliance (which itself is an excellent MK game). MK:D is the best MK game since MKII. Deception is just brilliant I actually loved the return of MKII Dead Pool and Living Forest, even if the living forest was a touch bland, it still brings lots of candy to the eye. I loved the character roster, more colorful and original than anything youd find in DOA or Tekken, and basically it is just, in a word, superb. I would give it 9/10.

MKD is ok nothing to do back flips over.It's easy to pick up and fun but it is also shallow as far as fighting games go.7/10

I agree with you about the fighting recovery thing, but I strongly disagree with you when it comes to the stages. To me, it was cool to bring back some of the classic stages. The statement that you said in which over half of the stages in Deception are from past MK games is overexaggerated. You might want to take a much closer look at the stages in that game. I may only have a couple or more stages to get, but I do know for a fact that not over half of the stages in MK: Deception are from past MK games.
I thought Konquest was fun though it does need improvements in my opinion.

Yeah, I was wrong. 14 7. I think of it being too much returning levels. Not to mention that I think that alot of the newest areas like Nexus,Golden Desert,Lower Mines,Dragon Mountain,Liu Kangs tomb, and a few others were a bit on the bland side. Again I don't think the creativty was at its max on Deception in a few areas. Edit from past post. MK: deception is "my" least favorable MK game

I actually think this is a good mk game. It brings back the dark mood, as well as the fun factor is cool and you have something to do after you beat. Like I love mkda, but after you got everthing, it just lost it. This game will last a while like SC.

MK2 was my all time favorite MK game & after i played MKDA i thouht nothin was gonna top MK2 cause all the other MKs since MK2 kinda sucked...."well MK3 was good but it was no contest against MK2".
BUT MKD changed all of that :D

MKD is a updated version of MK2 + tons of new futures like MKOnline, MKPuzzle & MKChess.
Hara Kiri is another great thing added to MK Series
Alota old classic arenas are back includin "Acid Pool, Living Forrest, The Pit, Portal &...."
MKD has the best set of characters..Its got all the greatones from past, some great new fighters "Havik, Kira, kobra" & every character has 2 costumes
The good old stage Fatalitys are back
MKOnline totally owns & i loooove playin against other peeps online

1 Bad thing about MKDA & MKD is that the ending are LAME....2 pictures & some writing!!!!
MK4 had the best endings, but i hope MK7 gets back the animated endings
Midway should have some cool endings insted of makin a 5 min long intro or adding music videos to the game.....Good endings get people intrested to play with diffrent fighters & see how they end the game...

I totally agree with SubZero 7 that there are at least a few worthy new fighting arenas in Mortal Kombat Deception. And not surprisingly, these were I thought the BEST ones that they had come up. The Chamber of Artifacts is a true beauty and it is clear the artist spend time on it and got the lighting and details down pat
