Well now that Jade is on Sindel's Bio, everyone is saying that the lady in green is Jade. I thought it was Tanya because Jade wears a mask and Tanya doesn't... so I thought that was Tanya because of the mask.

First of all, it was never confirmed that Jade was black. She could have been latin or dark Asian.

Second, the game is called deception. The theory goes that Tanya is posing as Jade to get close to Sindel in hopes of betraying her and exploiting her. Also, it's debatable that they would even put Jade in the prison backround if she was a standard character in MKD.

Point is, it could be either person.

Also, Jade is latin and Tanya is black. Just look at Jade in UMK3 and then look at Tanya is MK4. Tanya is clearly darker then Jade. Jade has that tan look, so Jade is either Latin or just using tanning lotion.

Well if you play MKT in Versus mode and choose Jade, you will see that she looks even darker than Tanya, when the oppenents are facing each other. So I don't know why some people even say that Tanya is darker than Jade.

but remember that Kitana ALWAYS had her mask on in her costumes, but when MK Gold was released she wasn't wearing a mask... that was the first time we ever saw her without one (except in fatalities) and maybe that's what is going to happen to Jade... if that is Jade( I REALLY hope so)

Ehh, how can Jade be latin if she is supposed to be from Outworld?
Anyway, I dont care who it is, becuase I love both Tanya and Jade. And if both of them are in the game, then it will be awesome.

It's Tanya, like or not... and Jade is still unconfirmed, fighters like Liu Kang, Shao Kahn or Fujin are named in MKDA bios, but no one of them was selectionable (although I believe that this "error" could be neat in MKDeception.....)

yeah umm... green is a color, not a character. Anyone could be wearing green, doesn't make them reptile or jade. And skin colors have changed in past MK games just look at ermac and noob. So yeah... it's more than likely Tanya.

Thank you! I totally agree. People are coming up with stories and theories based on the color of an outfit? Get real, guys--if it is Jade, cool. If not, oh well, it's just another outfit. So what if it's green? That doesn't make it a story.

I agree. How can you classify Jade and Tanya with ethinicities from Earth, when they are from fictional worlds?

All I know is that Tanya is in the game because she is seen in a video from puzzle kombat.

I think that the green female ninja is Jade. Because it would be kind of stupid if you already have Mileena posing as Kitana in the battle, and then your going to have Tanya posing as Jade. Why would she pose as Jade?

Just because her costume is green doesn't mean she's trying to pose as Jade. Maybe it's jus TANYA WITH A GREEN COSTUME????

Or what about the other way. Jade wearing Tanya's costume.

Simple. They do resemble certain skin colors, and it serves as a purpose for trying to solve this confusion. No one is saying that she is infact Latin or that Tanya is infact African, but we are saying that they look that skin tone/color.

Well in the world of MK there is mainly only places of birth/regions, not types of skin tones. So you gotta use some real world stuff to settle things. Like Jax is clearly black, and Sonya is clearly white. Cause in the end, even though the game is fantasy, the characters are using real life skin tones, and to ignore that is kinda odd imo. Well most characters anyways,lol.

Yeah, I understand where you are coming from. I guess it doesnt really matter. I still think the girl in green is Tanya until i get proof that it isnt. lol. No matter what shade of skin she has.

To tell you the truth, I don't even know what to think about the girl in green. Both sides of people who believe it's Jade or Tanya have valid points.

It's a toss up for me.

Well, Kitana is white, even though we know the Anglo-Saxons didn't settle in Edenia. All we know is that she has dark skin, which to ME, looks latin. But there certainly is no proof that she is black.

Well the same could be said about Tanya!! it can't be Tanya coz Tanya has her hair tied back so it must be Jade!.... There making all the characters look less alike i.e Sub-Zero Scorpian, Smoke etc so the same goes for Mileena, Kitana and Jade!!

Yes, I think the main reason for people thinking it's Tanya, is simply because she's been confirmed to be in the game, while Jade has not. If neither Tanya or Jade had been confirmed, I think pretty much everyone'd assume that's Jade.
As it is now though, it's very hard to tell. Instinctively I'd say that's Tanya, for that same reason... but on the other hand, Sindel's bio gives the impression that Jade might be in the game, and if she is, I'd say that's probably her. I suppose time will tell. :)

I was sceptical when I saw the pic about that being Jade. But after reading the Sindel bio, I'm pretty sure that's Jade, even though she looks the same from her early days. Only in 3D.
