How to Waddle an Oni !

I don't know if anyone knows this, but there is either a secret or bug connected with meditation. Meditation is not what it says on the tin - it doesn't just speed up the game, other wierd things happen when you meditate that would not happen by just standing around.
For example, I found an Oni who is just standing around in the Netherrealm. He will stand there forever if you don't meditate, but once you are meditating he suddenly decided to 'waddle' rather amusingly straight forward! If you come out of meditation he stops 'waddling' and again stands still as before.
It's possible to cause him to 'waddle' right through walls and rocks, I even got him to 'waddle' into the middle of a lava stream, yet he did not die! This is so confusing since I've not seen any other characters behave like this!

I seem to recall he was at D6 in Netherrealm. I was attempting to follow Pedro Borgos FAQ to complete all the missions I had outstanding, and this guy supposedly asks for you to find a shield for him. Thing is, I'd punched him earlier (mistakenly thinking you could knock a tooth out like the guy in the village) and he was too angry at me to offer the quest.
He can always be found standing still in that location unless you use the 'waddling' trick to move him! I still can't understand why this happens since the game is supposedly programmed to keep him on that spot! I haven't found any other characters that I can do this trick with, so it seems like he is unique or could be linked to a secret!
