What's making this game so great so far is the fact that its been so secretive. Face it, only a small percentage of the game has been revealed. With each passing week or so we all hope to catch a glimpse into the working of the title.

I hope midway keeps things Sooooo underwrapped and secretive that by the time Oct. comes around we all think we know whats up and then BAM we are all decepted!

I agree, only because they revealed every last detail of MKDA well before the game was ever out, and look what happened there...major disappointment. MKD needs to be kept under wraps...I think they're already going a little far with revealing the characters.

i couldnt have said it better myself. With DA, i bought it on EBAY in January of 03. I never even heard about it. I guess i gave up on the franchise after MK3. With that being said DA was an entirely NEW experience down to the very last detail for me, which made for such a cool experience.

However, Deception seems to be soo grand in its sheer volume that we have only scraped the surface. After spring break i will be busy with school and the wifey so ill be back to being busy...but then theres the summer.................oh well ( sigh )

Hype is part of the fun... however if the game is not up to par... why play.

I enjoy all of the hype, too. And even if everything is SEEMINGLY revealed in magazines and on the Internet and such, you still have to play the game to actually experience it. I remember reading about all of the characters and stuff for Deadly Alliance and when I played it, I was still surprised because I discovered a lot of things on my own that I hadn't known were in the game until I played it, like Taunts, Power Ups, and a lot of the returning characters' moves. So I guess for me, just having every character revealed, the stages revealed, storylines revealed, etc. won't ruin anything for me because I haven't played the game yet.

True, I agree but I wished they only relased info about 1/2 to 3/4 of the entire game so I wouldn't know all of the characters, secret characters, stages, new features, game modes, fatalities and such.

Yeah, all the under wraps thing is making MKD very mysterious and very exciting. After Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Mortal Kombat was totally erased from my mind and I never even heard of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance before my cousin came to my house one time in November. I was totally blown away when I played it!

Now that I think about it, all these previews and hype are kind of like spoilers of a movie, which, you know, spoils the movie and makes it less fun.

Personally I want them to reveal EVERYTHING.I want to know all the characters and stages.I want to know everything about konquest,MK Chess and MK puzzle fighter.I want to make sure I get my moneys worth.I dont see why people complain about knowing to much. It's not like people are forcing them to read magazines or search the internet for MK:D.But it would add to the mystery and surprizes in MK:D if they didn't reveal a lot.I would just buy it anyway.

I agree dude, people arent forced to read about MK:D or search for it on the internet. If people don't want to know everything then they should stop coming to sites like this.

Peace Out

lol, the title of this thread reminds me of the opening of 'Behind the music.'

I don't mind spoilers. The more I know about a game, the more I want to buy it. You don't get new buyers by keeping secrets.

As long as they don't reveal the dragon king and give us tidbits of info, I have no prob with the hype.

Agreed.

Umm, How long before MK:DA was released did the strategy guide come out for it? I hope they release the strategy guide for MK:D in early to mid August.

I'm not sure but I thought it was a couple months before MK:DA came out. They should release the stratagy guide like 2-4 weeks before MK:D comes out.

Peace Out

It appears fans don't need secrets in the game. However, i NEED them. They are what makes this game series soooo great. And with new modes like Konquest, I bet there will be chock full of secrets. But i dont want to hear about EVERY char. in the game, and i especially will not indulge myself in ANY of the fatalities...besides the teaser video.

I think that's the point. We have to know not too much not too less.

Thats stupid, knowing all of a MK games secrets and fatalities even before its released. Dumbest thing ive ever heard. MK thrives on the unknown.
