I'm pretty sure he is the king, in the trailer it says he uses the "trust and loyalty of an ally"... the dragon king would have no allies after just being revived regardless of any powerful enough to be worth manipulating... reptile has Shao Kahn as a manipulee

i am gonna have to agree with You-Know-Who, i have thought for a while now that Reptile will probably evolve into a beastly dragon type lizard character and act as the sub-boss while the Dragon King will be the final boss

I disagree, there is no dragon and dragon king, at least there is no evidence that he is the dragon, though he may be the king himself, wasn't there a tiny dragon in that egg?

Im thinking that Rep gets empowered from the emergence of the DK from its egg. I used to think that Rep would be the DK, but now im skeptical. Sidez, itll suk if Reppy isnt a playable character. But i dont know.

well the egg is the offspring of the dragon... not sure if you all seemed to miss that but there is a dragon in that egg not the dragon king. So the energy which emerges from it would be most likely the empowering soul of the dragonking since there is no mention of the dragon king reproducing itself. Egg hatches dragon, soul takes over reptile, reptile is the dragon king.

I think the voice that was in that trailer was Baraka because it used "I" in 1st person. And that person was Baraka then to the fight scene of him and Mileena. And there's already evidence that the image beyond the darkness is Baraka. You can enhance it to have a better visual of his eyes and teeth. And he himself even said he hides in the shadows in the previous game.

....huh!!!??? ok even if that were so the lead boss has been confirmed to be the Dragon King so I'm dealing more with the question of whether or not Reptile is TDK.

Reptile has gone downhill right after MK2. He looks retarded in his lizard form. Either they bring back the ninja or they just kill him in deception.

Reptile gaining vengeance on Nitara would be cool. Although there is too much vengeance going on in MK! I doubt Nitara will be killed. The best way to make her suffer would be for him to make her serve him. The vampires will play an important role in the MK world soon I think and I doubt they'll have Nitara die. She's our introduction to their world.

All things being said I did like the ninja reptile the best but I loved his look in DA as well, you have to agree its miles ahead of the look he had in MK4. Personally I think they are going in the right direction with evolving reptile, after all I was sick of seeing the same costume with a variety of colors for 7 or 8 characters. Reptile should keep evolving, the Dragon King mutation should be very interesting to see and on a similar note I'd like to send kudos to midway for actually beginning to branch out on the looks of these characters so we don't have several characters wearing the same thing in different colors.

I think the same (and in addition, I believe that the Dragon King will not be a dragon, or you will see it...)

Well, if Rep is the Dragon, perhaps he will have to work a little bit to gain the title of DK.
