We know that he will not be in the regular 24 characters because he sacrifised himself.I bet he also has some new powers.I really want to see what happens.

Actually, he is one of the 24 fighters. You can make him out on the select screen.

It makes sense because either he made it out of the blast alive or was resurrected ala Kitana by the Dragon King or someone. It'll make sense when we all learn the rest of his story.

i hope he's at least as good as he was in MK:DA. his moves were awesome.
and yeah, raiden is on the select screen for sure, just needs to be unlocked

Well since this thread is about Raiden, I would really hate for him to have the staff. I didn't think it suited him well. I have a bo staff too Mine is no where near that damn large. His is taller then him.
I hope he gets a better weapon. Maybe the mallet he had in mk4 so he can knock people into the tv screen.

You honestly didn't think the staff fit Rayden? he's had that thing with him ever since MK2. It's still a mystery to me why they gave him that war hammer in MK4 when it was obviously the perfect time to give him a staff. They corrected it in DA and gave him what everyone thought he should've had. The staff is totally Rayden. And I'm spelling his name like that because i like the old skool super nintendo days.

As far as I know, Rayden didn't kill himself during the blast, he only sacrificed his power..
That would mean he could fight, as a mortal. I'm thinking something more happened this time though..
