Its just too hard.
1) Sectors misslies have to fly in 3D. In fighting kombat. Just how are they gonna do that in this day and age.
2) Cyrax: How are they gonna give him his net back? You can easily doge that in a 3D environment.
3) Smoke: His teleport punch is a little easier to work with, but still no small task. How How How will they do all these things?

I couldn't care less.
Baraka, Sub-Zero, Scorpion... come on...
Who needs Robots!

To be hoenst they would easily implement those things. The missle would be just as simple as a regular projectile.. Also look at more advanced 3D projectiles, like Shang Tsungs, 3d flaming skull/fire ball move.
The net might be harder, but they could still do it. I think they didn't add them in there, more or less because they felt either it would take away from hand to hand combat to much, or it was replaced by other moves.
I dunno, I like the robots, and I don't like the robots... The whole MK3 thing, being in a city, and the robot's and all that new age stuff, sorta made mk3 feel weird to me. I dunno, we will just have to wait and see.

The same way they made the projectiles work in MKDA. We had fireballs from Shang, Kinana could throw her fans, etc.
2) Cyrax: How are they gonna give him his net back? You can easily doge that in a 3D environment.
All projectiles can be dodged. And that's the way it should be. I'd hate a move that cannot be escaped.
3) Smoke: His teleport punch is a little easier to work with, but still no small task. How How How will they do all these things?
They don't have to bring back all original moves. Some could be scrapped, others could be changed a bit to work with the new fighting engine.
As a matter of fact I'm not a big fan of the robots. But I feel Sektor will be back alongside Sareena and the rest of the "new" characters in MKTE.

Dextr, they said they were gonna give all the returning characters their classic as well as new moves. WEll have to wait and see.

Everyone has "Deception theories".
Well having SEKTOR captured by the good-side and reprogrammed to eventually destroy the Dragon King is just as good a Deception as any. Of course I could be way off, like everyone else.
SEKTORS targetting missiles in 3D would be awesome, as would seeing his flamethrower. He is my fave robot for sure.

I'm not keen on the robots, but as above, the moves wouldn't be too complicated, and as for retaining the classic moves? I imagine they might be tweaked a bit! Sektor could launch three missiles for example at slightly different angles or so!
It's worth remembering that Scoprions teleport punch wasn't included in DA! So i imagine Atleast one classic move will be included for each character and intepretted to best suit the game!
I think robots always smeeled fishy in the games! Didn't stop me preffering Sektor to Cyrax and CyberSmoke! ;)

The way I see it, only the defintive characters will be returning with their old moves. I think Boon was just being general.
logically, out of the three cyborgs, I think we'll be seeing two of them return. Sektor is the most likely, with Cyrax being the least likely.
"Why Smoke" you ask? Well, the Konquest pic stands for something. Also, just do the math. Noob Saibot returned. Ermac returned. Rain is a lame-ass(IMO). It would make sense if we saw Smoke again.

Smoke was always a mysterious character. But, like Ermac he has a great following of fans. If we did see him their asses would just blow up. As for his teleport punch, they could replace it with maybe a type of slash were he would run fast enough to disappear and run through the guy with an energy slash. You could see him by the "folds" in the enviroment when he runs.

The only robots that need to return is smoke and cyrax, sektor doesn't have much of a story.

I would love to have Sektor back.
Having him throw like 3 missiles would be cool too.
Maybe he could throw them like this
Forward to left
then he could throw them in the opposite direction too.
Forward to right
That way you would atleast be able to side step in one direction to avoid them.
For the telleport uppercut, he could just open a small portal, and use that.

Maybe when sektor throws his missiles, you could kind of move your control pad on what way you want it to go.

Like Kung lao's hat in MK2.
maybe you could hold the last button, and that would enable you to control the missile.
when you let go of the button, you will loose control over it.

Or they could just bring back his heat seeker.

I think smoke will be back as a robot and his alt costumes will be Human form.

They could easily do Sektor's and Cyrax's old moves. If you're going to say 'well they can just easily walk around them' then that goes exactly the same for ANY projectile, and frankly I thought projectiles were quite useful in MKDA. And personally I don't htink they would've brought back Sektor and made that whole new story for him if they didn't plan on having him back.

How easy is it to avoid Scorpions spear in MK:DA? To me, the spear isn't unlike Cyrax's net capture or Sektors missles. I would connect with Scorpions spear all the time in DA. In the heat of a battle alot of people forget to move to the left or right on a 3-D playing field. If they see a Spear, missle, hat, or pineapple coming at them quickly they panic and block. Sub-Zero too! His freeze isn't unlike the net, spear, or missle. And how many times have you been frozen? I don't know. I guess I am saying that it would be very easy to do. And I know I would connect with the net or missle once in awhile. :\ [edit]
