Take MKDA... So many people complained about Liu Kang before the game was made, and voila, he's dead. And Kabal. God, I remember all the 'I hope Kabal is in MKDA' from way back, and he's in MKA. Same with Baraka. Maybe it's a huge assumption, but I'm sure he pays some attention to us here. After all, this is the biggest strictly MK fan site out there. If you're listening, Ed, make sure that Ermac doesn't suck.

You're not the first to say that actually. Some say that it's because of the fans that characters like Nitara and Hsu Hao ended up in the series.

I'd love to be locked in a room with those fans... I hate Nitara and Hsu Hao

I remember that on the character select screen in the characters profile,

In MKDA at first when they showed the game at E3 they said that quan chi was 6ft 7 and 190 pounds, I said that it was way too skinny and ridiculous by making a huge post about it and having a lot of replies.

Then when the game came out, Quan Chi was suddenly 6ft 7 and 210 pounds, maybe just a coincidence...

Boon and or his staff definately listens to us and here is how I know-- the phrase "final secret" was dubbed by this community and the final secret was in MKTE and was actally called "final secret"... I think its too much of a coinidence they thought of that name all on their own.

Boon has been listening to us for years. The entire existance of UMK3 was for the sole purpose of pleasing "we" the fans.

But in a way its sad, because no matter what Boon does, some people will never stop complaining. It's always something. I may not be 100% satisfied when the game comes out, or even with the character choices, but Boon has done a good job so far, and I won't bitch at him. I'll save all my bitching for you guys. wink

Well he hasn't been listening to me lol I hate Noob, Ermac and Scorpion and love Kitana, so if ur listenin Ed get her ass playable lol.

Nah i agree he listens to most things and tries to please the fans as much as possible. But he has to keep the game new and original and if it was upto most fans it would be all old characters who return, which wouldnt really move the story etc forward too much.

It's a little disturbing to think that he actually listens to us. I remmeber giving my take on Konquest. I said that there should be different win/loss circumstances, and a way to keep track of how long you trained your monk. Now those are in the Konquest mode. A coincidence? Probably, but it's still creepy.

I think its a scary concept that they listen to the fans, mainly because some of the rants and raves I've seen around here would make for the worst game ever made. However, it seems Boon and Co. are smart...they ignore the stupid rants, and listen to the good ones.

Man i couldnt agree with you more. No matter how good MK:D will be, I garuntee (sp?) thaat people will keep bitchin and complainin on how this and that could've been added but in reality, a game cant be perfect. Nothing can be perfect.
But yeah I think Eds listenin to us as well. Why? Cuz yes this is a Huge MK Site and doesnt Ed sometimes come into chat to answer questions? So he obviously knows a about this site and maybe he does listen to every1's idea and trys to input them in someway.

I think it's a bit unfair though. Boon and the MK Team tries to make a great game, yet still people succeed in finding fault with it. Or complaining until they get what they want. Kabal for instance. I'm tempted to say Sindel too.

I mean no offense to anyone, but noone HAS to be in the game, or noone is cooler than anyone. I think we should just speculate and see what the MK Team comes up with.

That's partially true yes, but you have to think also... If no one complained about a certain feature, how would they know to fix it? There's a very thin line between bitching and posting a complaint on something you would like to be changed.

People that came on here when MK:DA was released and started the... "OMFG this game sucks only one fatalaty??!!!" threads, yes that is complaining. But if someone says, "Hey I liked this, and this, and this, but having only one fatalaty was kinda a let down" then that to me is expressing something you would like to be changed. See, it's a very thin line.

Here's another one for you, Mr. Boon:
We demand Full-Motion Video character endings in the soonest possible Mortal Kombat game!

No longer do we wish to be bored by still pictures and text. Please take it up a notch and tell the character's game story ending with a live-action video sequence!

When you say live, i hope you dont mean as in real people acting for the characters. IMO, that would be extremely horrible. None the less, it would take alot longer to, because they would have to find good people for each character that actually know how to act.

I do want full videos though. The ending videos in MKG were pretty cool, and with todays graphics, just imagine how bad ass it would look. I hope we dont have those cheesy text messages back.

I like the detailed pictures and the voice-over endings actually; Raiden's voice sounded very cool. I find that the short cinematics in MK4/Gold didn't explain in enough detail what would go on in the future for the characters, and if they decided to made long cinematics, it'd take too long to do. I prefer the old fashion way of saying the endings.
