I think i got raidens story arc figured out!

ok here goes. raiden tries sacrificing himself to kill the DK to no avail. then the DK brings raiden back to life knowing that raiden is the protector of earthrealm and uses raiden to bring earths greatest warriors into traps! (that would explain the prison stage imo). finally raiden is exposed for what he really is now and the remaining earthrealm warriors band together to stop the DK and his forces! (this would also explain why more main earthrealm characters such as sonya and johnny cage cyrax and jax havent been confirmed playable. its because they are in prison and this would also explain why we have so many characters returning that we havent seen in a very long time! they are all that is left in the DK's way! anyway what does everyone else think?

Great theory!!! Raiden is used as the DK's puppet. Very possible, and very cool theory. Damn I can't wait for this game!!

Hmmm... Very interesting concept Subzilla. I was thinking something was up with the prison stage, hope ya can unlock ALL of those people, that'd be cool.

yeah i was thinking even more on it and it makes alot of sense...well atleast to me anyway. think about it raiden who has always been there to guide and help earths warriors is now tricking them and even getting some of them killed possibly! i mean raiden was like a father figure to so many of earths warriors to have him turn on them would really really give us a great story!

Nice theory, only Raiden is good. It states so in his bio! His alignment is good!

Although, given the games title, they good be using a Deception in the bios with false information.

i thought of this and i think that yes raiden will look and act good but in reailty he is deceiving earths warriors! and when he is found out is when his true form takes shape so to speak! instaed of looking like the raiden form mkda he will look all blown up and dead.

I love the theory. And honestly, I was going to put up a theory of mine that was exactly like yours. DK resurrecting Raiden so that he can deceive the other fighters. I think that the bios have to do with the before the game takes place. Therefore, Raiden is good until he tries to destroy the DK in a last ditch blast of ethereal force. The DK is unaffected and revives Raiden's corpse and uses him as a pawn for his own gain. But yeah I think it is very likely.

i just got done watching more of the videos and now im even more certain that raiden is under the DK's control. on the back of raidens cape is a crown like symbol? i beleave this is possibly the sign of the DK!

As a pure essence of good and a very strong one at that, I just don't buy Raiden being evil. Even with the removal of his godly essence he is still apowerful being of good and I doubt he could be turned to evil. The red eyes probably indicate that he's angry and just reflect his mood.

No raiden is good he just got fried by releasing alot of electrical energy on the dragon king which ended up charring his clothes and tearing up his cape. Losing his essence could explain y his face is pale now. If he was under control of the dragon king to lure the good guys into the jail cells, u would think that the dragon king would make sure he looks the same ..
But who knows u could be right and it would be an interesting twist to the Mk plot ..

For all you people who think that Raiden is under the DK's control why would he be under his control and have him listed as a foe in his biography unless his story is updated? He probably looks like this because of damage from the ethereal blast and he was going to die but the Elder Gods brought him back for his courage when sacrificing himself to destroy the DK.
