Well Kenshi was sent to Outworld to go after Cyrax, and then Hsu Hao destroyed the special forces outworld investigation building leaving them both stranded. So it would make sense for Kenshi to still be there if they decided to stick with that story.

I don't think it's Sub's older brother. You have to take into account that the game is still in early production so the answer might be as simple as they had not added the scar in yet.

I do like the original post as an explination why earth heroes would not be in MK:D, it makes sense. But, it kind of sucks that people like Kung Lao may not be in the game. But hey, that's not going to stop me from buying it.
