Idea for Batmans Teleport

OK, I was just thinking, and I think that Batman's teleport is lacking something. It looks pretty straightforward, not very tricky. What Batman capitalizes on is being a very tricky, unpredictable character. So, instead of just throwing a smoke bomb down and coming down behind his opponent, I think it should go like this--
1. Batman throws his smoke bomb down and disappears.
2. At this point you have several options:
a: If you press nothing, Batman will do his usual teleport
b: If you enter the right button press or combination in time Batman will stay gone for a second or two then reappear like the current teleport.
b. Or, Batman could have several varied teleport attacks available that can be performed at any time during his disappearance, IF you enter the right button sequence in time. An example would be, one could be like Mileena's drop kick, one could be like Scorpion's old teleport punch, and one could be like Kung Lao or Noob's where they come up from the ground and can either lead into a punch, kick, or throw.
What this would do is create a real element of suspense and surprise for anyone who is playing against Batman. So, if you're playing against him and he disappears, it's like, "oh, shit, where did he go?" and you must be prepared to be attacked from any angle.
I feel that this would really capture the feel of the way he fights in the movies and the theme of using fear against his opponents. So, what do you think?
