Looks like Deception pulled at a victory on the XBOX side of things winning the Best Fighter, but scored a runner-up on PS2. From IGN's XBOX site...

"After 2002's surprisingly sound 3D rendition of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Midway has taken its time to dig deeper into the MK chest of goodies. Mortal Kombat: Deception adds to the combo carnage by adding the expected new characters and moves, but it's upped the ante with brutally punishing environmental traps, and it's rounded out the fighter with solid, likeable side games giving players secondary and tertiary reasons to goof around. The fighting itself is still skill-based, combo-laden and tighter than ever, and the wealth of moves and character rivalries brings new life to the aging series. Mortal Kombat may be an old series, but the new engine and tireless work on Midway's part to hone it have shown us that the spin-ripping beast of a brawler is still has all the right moves. "

Guilty Gear Isuka won for PS2...Tekken wasn't a runner-up on either console btw...

O hell yea. Guilty Gear is freakin awesome. If there is one game that I would want to beat MK, it would be GG. Kant wait for Isuka, alogn with MKD.

Yea, I think thats right. I dont know if there will be any differences between Isuka and Reload though.

You just gotta wait till you play it. The game is so damn fast and fun. And it will have a 4 player mode. Good freakin times.

so you need an adapter for the ps2 to pay 4 people? Yeah it does look cool. For reals, i havent played a fighter like this in a long time. I miss the 2-d fighter cartoon style. I never owned anything higher than Street Fighter II, the original!

Haha, then its about damn time. Actually, I think the computer can control up to 3 characters at once, so you wouldnt even need friends. lol. But in the mean time, I highly suggest you try Guilty Gear X2. Its really fun, and it will set you up for Isuka.smile

I'll say it right here and I don't care if I get flamed. I love and adore Mortal Kombat, hence why I'm on these boards. However, my favorite fighting game off all time has to be Guilty Gear XX hands down. The slickness of it and the fighting system is amazing. Not to mention the super moves. Heaven or hell, let's rock! XD Shit's just awesome man. Sorry if I offended any of my fellow MK freaks. Oh by the way. Sol Badguy > Scorpion. >_>;; Flame away.
