Probably this "tunnel" of yours is glitched or there is some sort of invisible wall that block us from reaching the "light"...

I agree. I really don't care too much whether there are or aren't SUs.
Although if one does exist and it turned out to be Kung Lao it would be extremely satisfying.
But this game doesn't need it. Its good even as is.

yeah.... i love Kung Lao too... but when i wanna play with him i just change MKD to MKDA and thats fine for me... hehe
speaking seriously... MKD is a fighting game that is just fun...
i'm the kind of guy that loves Virtua Fighter 4 because of its depth... but ironically i Love (even more) MKD because of the opposite... because its so easy to play and its so damn fun... and at the same time its not a buttonbasher like tekken... i believe its that "mix" of simple gameplay and being not a basher that makes me have so much fun with it...
of course... whoop my friend's asses its the main purpose of the fun... hehe but everything else just compliment the pleasure of play MKD...
if there is SUs or not it doesn't matter... MKD rocks a lot as it is....

I haven't played too much fighters actually. I own MK: DA, MK:D, and Soul Calibur II for the ps2. For whatever reasons, Mortal Kombat is very easy for me to pick up and play. I'm not so good at Soul Calibur...
I can beat max difficulty in arcade mode in both MK games but I can't get anywhere it seems in Soul Calibur. The fact that it is a deeper fighter is probably the part that makes it a turn-off for me. I primarily bought this game to play with my younger brother who I see every few weekends since Im in college and he's back in my hometown. He thinks he owns me with Baraka but I beg to differ.
I think the main reason I play Mortal Kombat over other fighters is for the storyline though. It gets pretty weird at times but I like it and I actually care about the characters.

Sure, I can play as him in MK:DA, but I'd love to bring my favorite, MK fighter online. Not to mention, let some of the new fighters, such as, noob smoke, nightwolf, ermac, sindel, jade, mileena, havik, dairou, darrius, ashrah, hotaru, baraka, kabal, kira, kobra, shujinko, tanya, and liu kang feel his wrath.
I know, not all of the fighters listed above are new, but many haven't gotten their *** whooped by him in a long time. They're due up to recieve many slashes from his deadly hat.

Exactly. My brother loves Baraka and since Baraka wasn't in Deadly Alliance, he and I can't face off with our proper characters. I just have to settle with Liu Kang-ing his arse.

Did I say anything about them been available as additional images on the select screen? I have spoken to Scott-Howell who is ok with me and we both agree that one of us is been screwed. I do not believe its me however due to recent dealings I have with MK not to mention I am the CEO of Dark Velocity Entertainment, a game making company that they would not really lie to. If they have lied to me however they will have serious explaining to do. Only time will tell I guess.

But honestly, maybe I should go to the aussie sight, cause the characters that I have played suck and are mostly unfinish(as I have said, Raiden, monster, DK are all complete)

it sounds like these so called extra characters that aren't on the select screen could just as easily be interpreted to mean all the characters that show up in konquest, not specifically guys you can unlock somewhere.
though it's been awhile since i read that news item so i don't actually recall if it did specifically say so or not.
my advice to everyone to take everything with a grain of salt. things have been said in the past and turned out to be untrue, theres no reason whatsoever to think that couldn't happen again, be it with this issue or another in the future.
grain of salt people. if it turns out to be true, yay! if it doesn't, oh well! we're still going to enjoy the game regardless i'm sure.

I can say that these characters are playable. I own a modded xbox, and I have the trainer that is used to activate them. The only problem is that a few of the characters are VERY incomplete!
I suspect the ones that are complete are the ones that have the annoucers samples ala monster, original raiden, and Onaga. Maybe even a few others...

Yes, I've heard that some were found incomplete by people hacking the game. Perhaps they abandoned Kung Lao's old look in favor of a new one with new moves and hid his character files really well...

Good to see the Kung Lao love being spread all about. He absolutely rocked in MK:DA (and MK II for that matter), and he is sorely missed in MK:D.

I'm with you guys on the Kung Lao thing. He is the shit! They should bring him back *especially in his MK2 outfit, along with using real people for the game.

Ganondorf your oppinion matters to you! and you only(fatality). Anyways I played as the hacked monster and he was VERY complete. He could have all the death traps done to him and he could pick up a weapon. So i believe if there is a SU its monster. Even though he is just scorp with a new costume he still looks fresh as fuck.

i played as monster too, and he is NOT complete. his special moves dont work, when you press back forward square, to do his spear move, instead he does his little victory dance. none of his moves work, when you press down back triangle he does it instead of back forward square. and even then its glitchy.

I DO hope SUs or at least MKDA's characters be included in the GC version. I mean MKD is nothing but a MKDA version 2 and to me it's really annoying watching full 3D models of MKDA's and see their stances and special moves in other characters. With Sonya the case is worse, Kira's got her moves and all of her styles are spread throughout different characters (Kobra, N.W., etc), and much more worse is seeing her 3D model IN THE GAME!!!!!!! I just HOPE they fix this with the GC version or this game should definately be renamed to: MKDissapoinment
