jade's spear looks much, much better. in her fatal video its just a bland, boring grayish version of raiden's drab staff. but now it looks like an actual weapon instead of an n64 object, i.e. near-textureless blob.

The guy we thanked is the first person who sent us in a news lead with all of the correct information, as well as a scan we were able to use to confirm the information. I don't know why I have to keep saying this, but nobody gets credit to be the first person to mention it on the forum. We don't have time to check every thread and try to figure out who to thank. I'm getting kind of tired of people arguing over who's to be thanked when its been cleary stated time and again how the process works.
I really don't want to stop thanking people at all, if this problem is going to continue.

Looks like they are running out of creative ways to assign combinations for fatalities, eh? Every one of those is four direction taps, and an attack button.
If all the finishers are like that in MKD, it should be real easy to discover how to do them all ...

No matter what the combinations are for the fatalities, they will still be up on the Internet in a matter of days. Between stuff like gamefaqs and hex editors, it's impossible to keep a game secret for too long. Might as well make the measy to do.

By the way, I got the issue in the mail yesterday, and from the images, Nightwolf's axe fatality looks exactly the same as Kung Lao's fatality in MK:DA. He throws the axe, it hits you right between the eyes, you stagger, and fall back. That's pretty much all it was showing.
GI also gave MK:D a 9.5 and a 9 for Second Opinion in their reviews for this issue. Looks like they're hyped up.

Normally I respect Reiner as he's usually pretty dead-on with his reviews the only thing that bugged me about this review was that it was more for the casual gamer. It graced only briefly over the fighting engine (which he pretty much only talked about how awesome the breaker was, blegh) and spent the rest talking about the fatalities and the other modes. I have the feeling Reiner was a little to giving with his score.

Maybe the normal release date is October 5th, with preorder people getting first crack on October 4th. That's what happened to me when preordered Fable on Xbox. A guy from EBgames called me and told me that they were letting preorder people pick up Fable a day early. Granted, I havn't yet received a call about MK:D, though it's still almost 2 weeks away.
As for credit and 1st/2nd post...Who cares? I submitted info once or twice and got no credit, but that was months ago. I just assumed that someone else sent the info first, or went through a step that I didn't. No big deal. And why in God's name do people get so bent out of shape over the 1st/2nd stuff? I've never done it, but seriously, does it really ruin your day that much? Some people think it's funny, if you don't, then...well...don't laugh at it. I dunno.
I'm curious about the GameInformer review more than anything else. A 9.5 and a 9 is good stuff, though I think they tend to be a little easy with their reviews. I see a lot of 9's, 9.25's, and 9.5's in that magazine. How big was the article? Was it pretty thorough? What did Reiner like? Anything he dislike? Why? I'm only asking because no stores around me get GI. If I'm not allowed to ask these questions, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware. I know that most people don't care about review scores, but when they're this good, it still hypes me up jut a tiny bit more, so here's hoping for good scores all around, even in EGM!
