it looks good....oh man it looks good!
Still I'm hoping for less resemblance to MKDA as far as the energy bar, etc. goes.

I know it is very early , but please notice people that Milenna does have Li Mei's old style from MK: DA I find that interesting :.O, also the game looks far promising than ever!!!

There is one thing I don't understand. I guess you might have noticed, but when the fight between Sub-Zero and Mileena starts, then you can clearly notice that Mileena's fighting stance is: "Liu He Ba Fa" which is Li Mei's fighting style in MKDA. Now there could be two reasons:
1- Mileena's model was created on Li Mei so they could test the model, and the fighting styles for Mileena will be changed later on.
2- Mileena will use the same fighting styles as Li Mei, if this is the case, then if Li Mei is back(as many say); will both of them have the same fighting styles? :S:S...
I guess I might know when E3 comes next month, but maybe someone already knows.

Maybe in the Kombat Chess, there are just models from MKDA to play/fight against... So that would explain why Quan Chi fights Scorpion in MKDA-Outfit in MKDA-Arena...

I cant see the death trap square in the background of the quan chi fight.

0
There isn't a death trap in the backround...
Thats a shot from MK:DA.
What I don't get is... why? Even if the chess game turns into actual Kombat, why use MK:DA?
It doesn't make sense. UNLESS... Boon got lazy and instead of making the chess game with the new character looks/arenas he simply programmed the fight to go to MK:DA gameplay.
Who knows.
All I know for sure is
1) There isn't a death trap indicator anywhere in the clip of Quan Chi fighting
2) This game is gonna be badass. Also... I want to add, how much does it get to you that when they show the gameplay of That black ninja and Sub-Zero fighting the icon for the website covers the Black Ninjas name PERFECTLY. lol. Ain't that some shit?

For the record don't consider any "confirmed" stances or graphical elements (like the lifebar interface) set in stone until the game is in your hands as DA has shown us they change on the fly.
That Scorp / Quan section is definatley not "straight" from DA, as both chars have those odd "card" things by their names, but that is definately quan's stage, and both quan and scorps old model (you can compare the hand guards to the hand guards his "puzzle kombat" model has, obviously different despite being chibi).
I'm guessing the board game was among the first things they put together and they probably haven't put the new characters / models in it.
Also, if that friggin playzone logo wasn't plastered all over the corner, we could finally put this noob / smoke debate to an end. It looks like the name Noob to me, too small to be Smoke.

I don't want to be the sore thumb in the bunch, and I know that the game is still far from being finished, but do you think that they are giving out to much already??? Hey don't get me wrong I'm loving everything that I'm seeing and want to see more, but I also don't want them to make the same mistake that they made MK:DA. I mean come on they're letting all this stuff out and they still have E3 to reveal some stuff. All I'm saying is I hope they don't give out everything before the game comes out. All I want them to do is make a game that is gonna re-claim the title of king of all fighters or at least come really close to it. I believe that they have the knowledge and skill to pull this off. I just don't want another rushed MK:DA in a MK:D package.
P.S. I too can't wait to get my hands on this game. All I want

At 3 A.M. in the morning that looked like a death trap.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious that it wasn't, I've changed the article.

wrong on both accounts.
each fighter has another characters style(s) to test out the "balance" of the gameplay. im guessing you werent around for all the early mkda stuff we got a while back?..cause you noticed the li mei thing, but you didnt say a word about sub using scorpions pi gua.

Am I the only one on this board who's a bit disapointed in MK:D so far?
I mean, I felt MKDA was kind of a let down (dont get me wrong, Im a huge Mortal Kombat fan), but so far, they didnt really change the most important aspect of the whole game : the gameplay. Of course, beside the obvious changes such as the death traps or interactive environments, the fight mechanics look pretty similar to MKDA, and thats what I really wanted to change...
Someone in here said that they promised a faster game... I really hope they give us one, because IMO the gameplay in MKDA really needs some improvement. And if they choose to keep some styles they used in the last game, at least make them more fun to play.
But that's just my opinion, Im not trying to start anything. *attemps to avoid flaming attacks*

Faster? You mean like DOA? I thought the speed was good for a 3d fighter...
From what I see in the video, the fight between scorpion and quan chi is actualy part of the chess board game. I saw that when the two pieces in the board game of scorpion and quan chi get close the fight starts and you can see that there are special life meters in the fight just like the ones on the board game. It's like another way to play a board game where you have to fight like in the fighting game.:-s

No i agree with you. online, board games, puzzles, multi teir levels, and more fatalities are seeming more and more of an excuse to keep the gameplay the same. If they do that then this game will be nothing more than a good rental. there are lots of games going online (dead or alive, halo2, pandora tommorow, ect.) so they to put some strategy in this game to make me want to keep playing.
