at first glance it reminded me of Shinnok's costume for some reason. It'll be nice to see some more renders and screenshots of that character.

I'm still holding out for E3 ... something about this whole story seems fishy and April Fool's-like. Obviously, the Ken Masters part is a joke and Liu Kang's spirit sounds like a Zebron-inspired gag.

I hope you are right, not that I don’t like those characters but I want to see at least a few more familiar faces in the game like Kung Lao, Sonya or Raiden. If they try to throw us off I must say its working pretty good. I just can’t wait till E3, luckily its not so far away now.

So the only real news in all of this is this Skab guy, Sub Zero retains shotokan fighting stance, Baraka keeps his head chop fatality, and Mileena's alternate definately confirms the existence of a third scantily clad female.

It's only rumored that Mattell had sued Capcom over the name Ken, and even then, it would likely be Capcom of America that would be sued, not Capcom of Japan. Japan's copyright laws aren't that strict. I don't even know if it was Capcom of America or Japan that gave Ken a last name.

But in theory, the entire article here could just either be a joke, or completely misinformed editors. Since MK is an American game, generally you'll get the real info from U.S. mags first. People who make mags in other countries really don't have direct access to Midway sources like MK Online does, so the ability to actually confirm their news is very slim. Take note that Midway has said that this article isn't accurate. The German editors either did not know this or haven't been told in time for publication.

I mean, the characters they described sound more like rumors than real. Liu Kang's spirit (which should still be in Tsung's body unless Tsung is dead), and a female Kano. This "Skab" may be an alternate for Ermac, or still unnamed.

Basically don't take the German mag seriously. They probably don't have much to go on and can't exactly contact Midway to get it confirmed. Take it as rumours for now. That'll lower the confusion.

I don't think Mattel would win that suit. If I'm not mistaken, Capcom would be allowed to use the name "Ken" because it's being used in the video game market, whereas Mattel is using it on a doll, which is an entirely different industry. Therefore, Mattel couldn't touch Capcom. If someone else used the name in the doll market, then they'd have every right to sue. There's several companies that use the same name, but in different markets/industries. It's almost like the issue with the name "Raiden" in the home market. They were forced to change it to "Rayden" for a time-being because "Raiden" was already being used in the home market at the time.

I don't think you saw Cage. I think you refer to the pic which shows Li Mei kicking Kenshi. The magazine mentions Cage, but it's 100% sure he's Kenshi.

ok now I'm confused.. Scab was noob? Smoke? Ken Masters? (this makes the Easterbunny also being a possibility again :-p) Damn I wish this game came out so we could all relax and play the best game ever created!
ps: didn't the article speak of Chaosrealm and Orderrealm as planes in Konquest.. making 6 worlds total (like stated earlier).. in the newspost they're only 5... (chaosrealm isn't mentionned there)

skab is not true, deffintly unless its just a random secrete char. they already confirmed kabal was goin to be a playable char. the who spirit thing and ken are probally mis-representations of somthing
