Is there any indication in the Deadpool video that it was a Chess fight or just a regular Arcade/Versus fight?

the voice in the video has been replaced. the build of the game in the summer had the more gravely, "shujinko" voice. the fact li mei has scorpion's sword should be a tip these vids are from an older build wink

Meh, only the Dead Pool was any good. The desert one was far too drawn out and the prison one, well shouldn't they be shredded instead of exploding?

I think it fits well since the spikes are long. There are alos not many up,down and across, so it would most likely tear, break bones and shred skin rather than just shred the whole body.

Did anyone notice how bad that counter hit looked between Ermac and Shujinko. It looked better in MK:DA to me, that kind of sucked.

Did anyone notice in the prison stage when ermac goes to hold the spiked walls from crushing him, his eyes glow a real bright green? I think that was awesome

Has anyone got the Quicktime versions of these video's????
Please post them on here
I let out a loud laugh when the rock hit Li Mei on the head. grin
The acid bath was pretty good, but I would have liked for the character to splash around in there a little.
Like this
Falling in normal looking
Comes up after a couple seconds splashing around and screaming. They look all melted, like meat.
They sink again, after a couple seconds, the camera starts to zoom in and gets pretty close, then skeleton comes up and flotes away slowly.
Then the camera turns and the other character is standing by the edge of the arena watching the opponent melt.
----------------------
The prison stage fatality is done wrong. The opponent should have just random parts be cut off.
Then give the remaining parts a rag doll effect, so they fall down realistically.
The walls close, then open back up again and you watch the opponent fall to the ground. Some of the body parts should also be stuck on the spikes.
Like the head or a leg.

I don't get it...what was so funny about shikinko using the harpoon on ermac? The pool stage did look like it was thrown together with a very low res background and not much detail or color like the other backgrounds.

Hot on the tail of the Official Mortal Kombat: Deception Website's update earlier today, the fine brass at IGN have updated their Mortal Kombat: Deception section with some great new direct-feed videos!
Warning: Spoilers Ahead
The first video features Li Mei and Tanya fighting in the Golden Desert, with Li Mei receiving a fatal blow into a landslide, capped with the crush of an ancient statue. The second video takes place in The Prison, where Ermac takes a beating at the hands of Shujinko (get ready to laugh when Shujinko throws Scorpion's harpoon!) The round ends with Ermac being crushed by the Prison spikes. The final video brings us the classic Dead Pool face-off between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, with Sub-Zero being melted in a nice bed of Dead Pool acid!
Great videos, be sure to check them out over at IGN.com
Thanks to sumixam for delivering the first News Lead Submission with the heads-up on this info!

Yes, Shujinko using the harpoon was funny. Hearing an 80 year old man say Scorpion's "Get over here" is like your grandma saying "that is whack!" Just plain funny!

The humor is in Shujinko saying "Get over here!" in his old man voice ...

Remember, these videos look like they're from a much earlier version of the game and have probably been adjusted to look much better. I certainly hope that they have been improved because I didn't like the dead pool's animation of the skeleton (how it just pops up) and I didn't like how Ermac just fell into pieces after the bed of spikes closed on him. There have been many changes made for the better. Let's just hope and wait.

Those videos are definately from an incomplete version, there isn't even any backround music playing in the backround of the fights.
On a side note, I think it'd be awesome for the Dead Pool to have the original backround music that was playing in the MK2 arcade version (the clearest and best quality version of the BGM).

I liked them all. I mean, yeah the skeleton shoulda been swept away and the prison stage shouldn't make them explode, but whatever, they're still pretty sweet. I was a little disappointed though, I was very excited to get some Tanya footage, but she didn't really do anything sad

I love your ideas. smile
I loved tham all, but as for the negative things:
1o THE DEAD POOL:
The corpse should flote away slowly and look a lil bit more realistic.
2o THE BUDDA:
-----Perfect
2o THE PRISON:
The body parts should had been 100% destroyed.
Overall, they all rock. grin
